Since 1988 Da Raptaz have made an album every year. But since self titled the group has changed over the years starting out in 1988 with Self titled the group contained Joeman,Big Richard, Big Pat and DJ Kid Rap. After the 1990 record Funky Beats DJ Kid Rap left to go solo in the carrer. It was the following year 1991 that the group got to the top of the charts for their song packin a gat. The group seemed to be unstoppable at this point because in 1992 they made another #1 song called A Fine day where the famous corus goes Smokin dat weed feelin fiiine got me a 40 and a fat ass diime. Then in late of 1992 the group started working with a rapper named Wiggaman an artist that Joeman had been working with 2 years previous so he had already known the group for some time. After working with Wiggaman on the 1993 album Big Pat couldnt take it anymore he said he had a solo album coming out and he was going to mainly work on that whil leaving Da Raptaz & Wiggaman taking his place. The group stayed the same till 1996 when big Richard started working on his own Record label, he said he would stay in the group as well as work on the new record label and by 1998 he had released his first album with his new group with the name Bass Boomin Productions. in 1999 Big Pat came back to the group and the album was intitled Big Pat iz Back. The Next year Wiggaman left the group and was replaced by Gangsta Killa but he only stayed for one album because in 2001 the group only contained Big Richard Fat Pat (Big pat) and Joeman. The group started to fall apart in 2001 where Big Richard left and Joeman and Fat Pat were left to make another album intitled Silence and later that year Joeman Produced Greatest Hits. The group has no plans of making anymore albums they say that they are now all going their seperate ways in the music area.
