Is “Cunt” so bad?

 The amount of times I have been hit for saying the word "cunt" whilst in female company has got me wondering, why is this word so offensive.  The dictionary has described cunt, as the female genitals and a word that describes someone you don’t like. Using a word like this to smite ones enemies is in no way intellectual or witty, it more a “quick call” to end an argument. Research shows that most females find that the term is a degrading term and is disrespectful to the female body…. but who cares! I think the word cunt is great and should be used more, so shout it loudly and proudly.
