BIOGHRAPHY!!!!

Riggs (vocals, guitars)
Mike Tempesta (guitars)
Clay (bass)
Seven (drums)

Riggs started storing the rage at a tender age. Came to the small city, where he met Clay. Clay wanted to help focus the rage and to pick the targets. They played and wrote and talked. They drank, and smoked, and fought. They stored frustration. The idea was there, but the execution was missing. Time passed, and the rage silently grew until it could be contained no more…
Riggs had just come off tour with Rob Zombie and knowing that Rob planned to focus his efforts on directing movies, he decided to focus on his first born- Scum of the Earth. Being Rob Zombie’s guitarist was good for Riggs because it allowed him to take the signature guitar playing and songwriting he had spent years developing- to a different forum and forge the foundation for Scum of the Earth.
When he began to collaborate with Powerman 5000 guitarist Mike Tempesta, the combination was slick and volatile. The rage could no longer be contained as Tempesta contributed his writing abilities to help create songs with amazing hooks and character while maintaining a seriously heavy sound rooted in Riggs’s original vision.
As the two began demo-work, Riggs called on long-time friend Clay to provide another ingredient to the Scum recipe. The three then went to work fashioning the band musically, lyrically, and spiritually- with psychopathy and sociopathy- not to mention some rather severe loathing and self-loathing. They continued honing a fine edge to cut deeply into the modern rock music scene. It wasn’t long before Riggs became re-aware of drummer Seven (via an ex-girlfriend from Drain STH) whom Clay and Riggs had both met years before and the recipe was complete.
In 2004 the band signed to Eclipse and entered Orion Recording Studios in Los Angeles, CA to record the album. While recording, long-time friends of the band John Dolmayan (S.O.A.D.) and Johnny Tempesta (Rob Zombie & White Zombie) sat in as guest musicians on several songs to add the finishing touches and give the band a definite sense of where they have been and where they are going.
Now, the glass is full, the little green pills are “fizzing”, and you’re about to drink… Prepare to experience Scum of the Earth’s debut national release “Blah… Blah… Blah… Love Songs For The New Millennium”, and don’t be surprised if a few things get broken along the way.
