14 Days was a song that we threw together in approx.
5 minutes. Jimmy, the guitar player had brought in a riff that we were
trying to work with. Everyone seemed to have trouble working with it. I
had only written one verse for the song. After trying to work with it for
a while, we decided to toss it and start fresh. Andrew (the other guitar
player) said "Why don't we just do a really fast punk song" and came up
with the riff on the spot. He told me to just use the lyrics I had written
for Jimmy's song. I told him "I only have one verse". He said "So what?
Just repeat it over. Who cares? He also came up with the chorus: "Oi Oi
Oi". We tried it out, and it sounded great! It became quite popular at
our shows.
