BELTAINE

Folk and Myth Festival 2003

October 31st - November 2nd 2003

The idyllic setting at Hawkesbury Heritage Farm, Beltaine 2001.

Come join us once more as we link hands in the Spiral Dance of Life. Music, dancing, feasting and ritual to mark the turning of the Wheel of the Year. 2003 marks the seventh year that Sacred Visions has presented the Beltaine Festival, and each year it grows bigger and better.

Workshops, musicians, dancers, drumming, warrior craft, body percussion, story-telling, fire twirling, maypole dancing, digeridoo making. All these and more have been part of the activities at Beltaine.

And it all happens in a safe, "family friendly" environment, with workshops for the children as well as the adults, and activities that encourage the kids to participate.

Held in the beautiful bushland setting of Grose Vale, near Richmond (about an hour West of Sydney), Beltaine celebrates the coming of Summer, the bounty of the Earth and the burgeoning life all around us.

Medieval players provide an "olde worlde" atmosphere and teach the participants the "Fairy Dance" (2001)
