Assateague

On the weekend of June 11-13, Troop 318 spent the weekend at Assateague Island National Park. We camped one dune away from the beach, in a wind tunnel which took-out a tent or two. These pictures were provided by Kevin W.

Mr. Kotch and Mr. Mitchell enjoying Saturday night's diner. If it wasn't for that brown paper,we would still be out there with Rangers yelling at us to clean faster..

This is us huddling, trying to hide from the evil sun that tries to burn all that is good and decent in the world. This was also were we buried the 3 gallon Gatorade bottle (come to think of it, it's still out there).

This is when we lured the unsuspecting sharks into our "awesome new trench that we want ot show you." One guess what happened next. I'm also buried on the far right in my vain attempt to hide from the sun.

In case you don't know, part of the appeal of Assateague is the wild ponies. Here we see four of them that, as we didn't find out untill later, were illegal to pet, approach, and look at funny. We got a citation a mile long. ugh...

Proof that The Matrix IS trying to conform us.
