The Toledo is one of the last Los Angeles class boats made.
I just got out of the navy and was stationed aboard the Toledo from August 2004-January 2008. While I have been just dabbling at what exactly I want in my personal website, I have decided to focus more on roads and highways. I hope that over time I am able to amass more pictures and information as well as refine my web page making skills.
Stuff on my page
- Clinched Interstates
- Road guide to the Bend Parkway/US-97
- Google Map of the entire length of the Bend Parkway. Meant to be a companion to the Bend Parkway guide.
- Interstate 7 This is my vision of what an Eastern Oregon freeway could look like. My proposal is not nearly as detailed as that on the ORoads website, but I do have a different approach to the location of the northern terminus and ultimatley think it would be better served beginning in the Portland metro area.
- US 6 Windham Expressway My road guide to the US 6 expressway in eastern Connecticut. At one point this stretch of freeway was to be part of I-84. Now there is still consideration for extending I-384 to meet this freeway, but that's quite a long shot at this point.
- Incorrect Road Signs Ever notice how some signs are posted using the wrong shield? Here's some pictures messed up signs I have seen in my travels.
- My Road Blog I started this blog to post interesting news or developments that pertain to roads. Some of it will be national, while there will be some Connecticut specific things (where I live) as well as Oregon specific things (where I am from).
- Profile from my FT2 exam I used to be in the Navy. I was proud of the fact that I got advanced to 2nd class on the first try. This probably doesn't need to stay here, but it was one of the first things I put on this page.
Oregon Road Links
Road links for other states
- Kurumi's Web page. Kurumi has a ton of information about Connecticut roads as well as a cool sign-making utility. He has a lot of interesting history about current roads, roads that never were and even future roads.
- Highways of Washington State This page is dedicated to the various highways of WA state. What's unique about it though is that Mapper actually works for the WSDOT so has professional knowledge and not just roadgeek type knowledge.
Miscellaneous Links
- More Toledo InfoYes, this is where I got the background and pictures for this page. A bunch of former sailors off that boat are registered on there.
