Welcome to Turn & Burn Quarter Horses & Paints, where we strive to breed the best Paints and Quarter Horses in Wish Horse. Our Mission is to produce well bred, even tempered and colorful horses.
*Please Note that pages are being finished as I have time but the important information is here.* We are located in the beautiful Willamette Valley In Western Oregon. The Valley is a great place to breed horses. The temperature and climate are mild year round and snow at the farm is a rarity.
T&B is situated in the foothills of the Coastal Range, which gives us access to thousands of acres of Forest and miles of trails to enjoy. Yet we are still only 10 minutes from Town.
Corvallis is a smaller town of about 50 thousand permanent residents, although the population balloons during the school year. "School" is Oregon State University, which is part of the Pacific 10 conference (GO BEAVERS!!) OSU has many fine programs but one of it's best is it's Large Animal Vet School (there is no small animal clinic yet but its in the plans). T&B and the vet school have a special relationship. All of our horses are brought to the school for treatment and some of the students work at the farm during the school year. Only local students stay during the summer.
The stables at T&B are quite extensive. There are 2 20 stall Stallion barns, 3 20 stall Mare barns (during the spring one is converted into a foaling barn), 2 20 stall barns for colts and fillies that are 4 and under, and one 10 horse barn for outside mares (also used for foaling). All of the barns are equipped with Tack Room, matted Wash Rack with hot and cold water, 2 matted grooming stalls, Feed Room and matted 12X12 stalls. All of the barns have in each stall, automatic waterers, hay racks, halter and blanket hooks, and a stall guard. All of the stallions stalls have brass name plates.
The horses are fed (except in special cases) a mixture of COB and Beet Pulp with Vitamins and flax seed added. They also receive a grass hay mix and second or third cutting alfalfa.
