Critical Theory for Research

Fair Use

The following is a small portion of Chapter 12 (Critical-Theory Research) from APPLYING EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH: A PRACTICAL GUIDE, Fourth Edition, by Joyce P. Gall, M.D. Gall, and Walter R. Borg, NY: Addison Wesley Longman, Inc. 1999.

This portion covers the Nature of and Assumptions of Critical Theory...essentially from a "postmodern" perspective. Although I would personally cite other references, the authors have...in my opinion...generally captured the essence of Critical Theory and as such, is a very concise statement of it.
