	Paphiopedilum Series Introduction and Index . HELP I have run and maintained this site since May 1998. It is totally non commercial. I want it to be available to all orchid growers, but need your help. The success of the site with its increasing traffic, and the change in internet services many of which are now being charged for are increasing the cost of maintenance. I do not want to make this a pay for use site, but I need asssitance to meet the increasing financial cost. The aim of this series it to present in a conscise form basic information on the growing of these popular orchids. Because most growers do not have the opportunityh of seeing these plants growing in their natural habitatls, and without having access to a major herbarium of specialist orchid institution extensive use has been made of published material. The various articles are fully acknowledged and indentified in the text. All references can be usefully referred to for additional material, and many contain excellent colour photographs. The Orchid Digest in particular has excellent colour photos, both of the plants and of many habitats. I beleive this series probvides significant material which is not realily available to most growers, and as such should provide considerable material for the successful culture of these orchids. Please note that all months have been converted to their Southern Hemisphere equivalent. The Northern and Southern Hemisphere equivalent months and their respective seasons are indicated below.
