While traveling abroad to adopt children, several families have met other children in need of adoptive families. Together we have put together a small group of photos of children who are available for adoption and desperately long for a forever family. If you are interested in adopting or learning more about any of the children listed here, please contact:
Almaty is NOW OPEN for adoptions again! *Parents, if you have started the process to adopt one of these children please let us know so that we do not advocate them to another family for adoption. Please call (979) 421-6471
This little boy’s name is David. He loves to draw and enjoys arts and crafts. He also likes to play soccer. He likes animals too. He has been in the orphanage since birth. He is a little shy. In my opinion, he would do best in a small family. He is a very sweet little boy who has been waiting for a family for a long time. He lives in an orphanage in Petropavlavsk, Kazakhstan. Please pray for David to receive a family who will help him grow to his fullest potential.
Robert is 13 years old. He is already a great artist and he loves to draw. Some of his drawings have been used to help raise funds for orphan relief. He enjoys sports, especially basketball. He is in the 6th grade. He hopes a family will choose to adopt him. He loves cats too. He lives in an orphanage in Petropavlavsk, Kazakhstan. Please pray that Robert finds a family who will love him.
Anna is a beautiful 11 year old girl from Petropavlavsk, Kazakhstan. She likes to read, draw and write. She is in the 5th grade. When I asked her what her favorite color is, she said it was “white.” She is quiet and is a little shy. She likes to play dolls and play on the playground equipment at the orphanage. She also likes to jump rope. If you are interested in adopting Anna, please call Suzanne Faske (979)289-5104. Please keep Anna in your prayers.

When we met Vance, we just fell in love with him! He is a ball of energy!!!
He is soooo cute!!!! He loves to run and play. He seemed very eager to help. He
would do anything that we asked him to do. If we told him it was cold and he should
have a coat on - he would run and get one and be back in a flash (most of the kids would
just laugh at us or tell us "no cold"). At times he seems full of mischief! I also
think that he may have ADHD. He did get picked on by the other children. I thought
that he handled it real well. He didn't seem to care what people thought of him. He
always has a smile. He will need parents who will allow him to be the active child that
he is - but who can reign him in when necessary. I think with lots of love he will thrive
in a family! For more information on Vance, please contact Debbie and Ronnie Fathauer at dfathauer@yahoo.com. Please remember Vance in your prayers.
Aaron is a great kid!!! He is 12 years old. He has a slight speech problem that causes him to stutter sometimes. He tried so hard to not let us see it, but the director of the orphanage told us. You could tell that he was concerned it would slim his chances of finding a family. He likes animals a lot and also likes to work in the garden. He wants a family who can help him to get a good education. He likes to eat sunflower seeds and another kind of food that is made with honey and some type of orange flavoring. Whoever adopts Aaron will be blessed. He is a very nice boy who has so much to offer to family. He needs a family who will love him and help him to receive the speech therapy he needs. Any family would be blessed to have him as their son. Please pray that he receives a family soon.
Val is 12 years old and lives in an orphanage in Petropavlavsk, Kazakhstan. He enjoys playing soccer and other sports outdoors. He has completed the 5th grade. He longs for a family who will love them as if he were their own. Please remember Val in your prayers.
This is Yuriy. He is 10 years old and lives in an orphanage in Petropavlavsk, Kazakhstan. He likes sports, especially volleyball. He is an active boy and enjoys the outdoors. He is in the fourth grade. His favorite color is blue. His favorite foods are fruit and ice-cream. Yuriy needs the love and support of family. Please pray that he gets to know the love of a forever family.
Misha is 12 years old. He was born deaf and was abandoned at the hospital
when his birthmother was told of his deafness. We visited Misha at the
orphanage for the deaf. Most of the children there have families, but
Misha doesn’t. He has watched many of his friends leave with their forever
family and he longs to be chosen too. Misha is fluent in sign language and
communicates well. He asked us to share his photo with people in hope of
finding a family for him. Please pray for Misha.
A $2000 grant has been raised for his adoption through Adoption Ark.

We met Stephen while in Kazakhstan adopting our son Jacob. Stephen lost his father and a couple years later his mother died. His Aunt has taken him in and is trying to raise him the best she can. She has moved to Almaty in an attempt to get him schooling. But can barely afford to feed them both. Stephen is very sweet and respectful to his aunt and us when we met him. He seemed a bit bashful, but polite. He has not had a chance to go to school until this year. His Aunt was able to convince one school to let him in for the spring semester but they will not accept him this fall without the tuition the families all must pay in KZ for books and supplies. We could tell that Stephen loves his Aunt and that she also loves him very much. Her biggest dream
for him is to find him a family in America where he has a chance for an education and a future. We are trying to help him find a sponsor or a family. He is scheduled for surgery to correct crossed eyes this summer. We need a sponsor of at least 50 dollars a month for him to go to school in the fall. A sponsorship of 75 or more would help put food on the table and clothe him for school. All the children must where suits to school. Giving Stephen an education can make a huge difference in his life. Giving him a family can make all the difference. Please pray for Stephen as we seek a sponsor for him and a family. Getting him surgery and schooling is the most immediate need. We pray a family will come too.
A Family who met Karly wrote:
I think that Karly is 10 years old. My daughter was a good friend of hers at the orphanage. She tells me that Karly likes to read, write, color and play games. She likes to play soccer and loves to be outside.We found her to be very sweet and loving while we were there. She seemed very eager to please. She smiled a whole lot. I got the impression that she was probably a very compliant child. She is a child that I would have immediately been interested in if we had not already had a child. She seemed very comfortable around us. She has a problem with her left arm - I am not sure what it is-she tries very hard to hide it. I remember trying to hold her hand when we first got there and she didn't let me. Later I noticed that she would walk on the other side so she could hold my other hand. She holds her arm close to her side. If you are interested in possibly adopting Karly and want to learn more about her, please Debbie & Ronnie Fathauer at dfathauer@yahoo.com. In July 2005, Karly had surgery to repair her eyes. Before her surgery she was scared and asked the missionary to please go in the operating room with her. {Karly before eye surgery} She also asked him, “Do you have a mom? If I had a mother she could go with me.” It was a {Karly after eye surgery}
A family who met Ethan wrote:
We met Ethan while visiting our soon-to-be son in Kazakhstan. Ethan was usually the one whom greeted us at the door
to his group area. He always had a smile on his face and was curious about the Americans. He seemed to be a little shy but interested in what was happening with the visitors. He was also the one whom the teacher would trust to run errands or keep the key to the room for the children. He would tell us every day that he too was going to America. When I asked him how? He told me “ I will walk there myself”. My favorite memory of Ethan was when we had just arrived and were planning to go with the children to the church across the street. We were blessed that Jacob and Ethan’s group was allowed to do this. Wade is very tall and looks even taller in the group rooms with short ceilings. Wade asked the children if they were going to the church. Ethan looked up at him with his beautiful dark eyes and said, “ Are you Jesus?” Wade was so surprised he didn’t know what to say. These words from a child shows us how much the children want a savior. A Savior that can rescue them from life without a family, life without hope and a future. They hear of this “Jesus” and they see the Mama’s and Papa’s come into the orphanage bringing gifts, hugs and smiles. They all want to be the one chosen. Ethan is loving, caring and responsible. He is also a leader. We would love for him to have a family whom can teach him about! the true Jesus and Lord.
