Jessica Bevers – Executive Director
Jessica Bevers and her husband Brad live in Brenham, Texas. Jessica enjoyed teaching in the public school system for six years, and is glad to now work full-time for Here I Am Orphan Ministries. She hopes to use her time and talents to serve the Lord by assisting with the various projects that are the mission of Here I Am. Brad and Jessica have no children yet, but are looking forward to the time that the Lord decides to grow their family with either biological children or through adoption. Brad and Jessica attend Christ Church in Brenham.
Robert Kitzman – President
Robert Kitzman and his wife Kamala are the parents of 6 children and one son in law. They live in Brenham, Texas. Robert and Kamala were led to orphan ministry through adoption during a host program in the summer of 2003. They followed their calling and finalized the adoption of Carter and Christopher, both from Kazakhstan, on December 17, 2004.
Robert is gifted with leadership abilities and has always carried the burden of compassion. Robert and Kamala are members of Brenham’s First Baptist Church, where they both serve as directors of an adult Sunday school class and Robert is an active deacon in the church.
The need to minister to orphans is set on a very short time table. From the time they are born, to the time they “graduate” from the orphanage is usually about 16 years. During that time, someone has to step in to feed them spiritually and many times physically. With millions of orphan children waiting to be adopted, the Church of Jesus Christ needs to be educated on this most urgent need to minister to orphans.
Debbie Fathauer – Vice President
Debbie and her husband Ronnie are the parents of three children and one daughter-in-law. They live in Brenham, Texas and are members of Champion Fellowship Church where Debbie is actively involved with Children's Ministry. Debbie has a huge desire to see children come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Fathauer family was led to adopt after participating in the 2003 Summer Host Program.
After visiting all of the beautiful children in an orphanage in Kazakhstan, Debbie became very burdened for the orphaned children around the world. It is her desire to help meet the spiritual and physical needs of these children and to help them find their forever families.
Suzanne Faske – Secretary
Suzanne and her husband Jay are the parents of 14 children, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Andrew, Abigail, Jacob, Joshua, Samuel, Sarah, Nathaniel, Lydia, Joseph, Rachel, Miriam Grace and Jonah. Twelve of the Faske’s children are adopted. They live in Burton, Texas, where Suzanne homeschools their children. The Faske’s are members of Brenham’s First Baptist Church. While visiting orphanages in India, Russia, China, El Salvador, Colombia and Kazakhstan, Suzanne felt the Holy Spirit leading her to become more involved in orphan ministry. In 2002, Suzanne started
Forever Families, a Christian adoption support group. In 2003, she was the recipient of The Angels in Adoption Congressional Award for her work in orphan ministry. She attended the Family Life’s Adoption and Orphan Care Summit in 2004. Here I Am Orphan Ministries was started as a response to the compassion Suzanne has for orphans throughout the world.
James Fritz - Treasurer
Mr. Fritz attended Sam Houston State University. Mr. Fritz is a certified public accountant, who wants to glorify God through this ministry by helping orphans to know their heavenly Father loves them. We won’t know why God has allowed the circumstances that causes these children to become orphans until we get to heaven and are able to see the panoramic view instead of the limited view we now have. But we know God brings good out of all circumstances.
David Richardson- Board Member
David Richardson is a member of First Baptist Church in Chappell Hill.
David is married to his wife Donna and has three grown kids and three Grandchildren.
David works as a criminal investigator, and his wife Donna is a Chief juvenile probation officer. David is active in his church, especially in the music ministry.
David became interested in orphan ministry after going on a mission trip to Columbia with HIAOM in November 2007. God has gave David a passion for loving and caring for the orphans.
Teresa Blake – Board Member
Teresa and her husband Scott are parents to 6 children: Zachary, David, Aaron, Brianna, Karen, and Emily. They live in Brenham, Texas and are members of Brenham's First Baptist Church. The Blake family has a heart for adoption as many extended members of their family have or are adopted. Why not keep a beautiful tradition?
The Blake's have three daughters through domestic adoption and one son they meet and adopted though the 2003 Kazakhstan summer host program.
Teresa feels it is a blessing to be a part of such a beautiful ministry. She also hopes and prays to be a light and to do God's will in this ministry.
"Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE." 1 Corinthians 13:13.

They live in Kenney, Texas and are the parents of Jessica (and her husband Brad), Jared, and Josh (and his fiancé Halley). They are currently in the process of adopting a ten year old girl from Colombia. After participating in a HIAOM mission trip to Bogotá, Colombia and visiting three orphanages, Shirley knew her life had been changed forever. She returned with a passion to do more. Both Shirley and Paul are thankful and excited about the opportunity to serve and be involved in orphan ministry. Their heart's desire is to help the fatherless and share with them the love of our Savior.
Allen Pate - Board Member
Allen Pate and his wife Cindy attend First Baptist Church of Chappell Hill.
They have seven children: Tara, Tiffany, Tom, Azamat, Talgat, Wendy, and Jessica. They became interested in orphan ministries through a host program in the summer of 2003. Two of their five children were adopted from that program and two others were adopted from Colombia.
Allen is a deacon in his church and a business owner. Cindy is a housewife and is active in many church and ministry programs. Allen sees orphan care as a beautiful way of sharing with the less fortunate, as we are called to do as Christians.
Robert Taylor – Advisor to the Board
Robert and his wife Beth are the parents of six children: Brant (biological), Drake (biological), Tamara (adopted from Kazakhstan), Daniel (adopted from Kazakhstan), Grace (adopted from Colombia), and Amy (adopted from Colombia). Robert and Beth felt a very clear calling from God to adopt these children later in life (mid-forties), as they were not completely satisfied with the "empty nest." Their ministry focuses on older international children (the youngest adopted child was 10 years old). They have seen God work in the lives of these children, in their own lives, in the lives of adoptive parents around them, and in the lives of the all touched by international adoption.
Robert and Beth are members of First Baptist Church Brenham, TX. Robert owns a large landscape company in Houston, TX, has a CPA certificate, holds an accounting degree and has a Masters in Business Administration.
