Gentlemen Farmers

March 17, 2003 Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I have a neat picture today. This was the view outside my bedroom window this afternoon.

Here's a neat picture I took a while ago.

I suppose I should mention the slightly different look of the page. I just wanted something a little different. The dancing sheep are gone, but not lost. The guy trying not to smell the manure is also gone. I was going to completely redo the site, but realized that I just didn't want to. :)

Well, I finally have another picture to show. I wish I would have been thinking, but tonight, the three of us saw an AMAZING rainbow that went across the entire sky! Take that city-dwellers!

However, this is the sky after the amazing rainbow.

In your face, space coyote!

Apparently, some people are not getting email from me. I don't know why, since I have been sending them. If you haven't gotten any email from me since lunch (and you know who you are), just give me a call. I've written email, it just has apparently not gotten there.

February 4, 2002

Well, no new pictures. I have one, but I can't get it off my stupid camera, and I don't have time to deal with it.

School's going well. It keeps me very very busy, so I don't have time to muck about with web pages, and pictures of sheep, although I'll try to do better. For those with a scorecard, so far, all my grades have been either perfect, or still within A range.

I took a test last week, but haven't actually gotten the grade from it. The prof. went through the exam today, and depending how he interpretted my written answers, I got an A or a B. The B's tolerable, because that quiz only counts for 5% of the grade, and I aced all the homework so far.

But enough about me... Erin's somewhere working right now. Charlie's in the other room, playing the highly addictive sequel to the highly addictive game Erin gave me for Christmas.

Ok, back to the books.

Happy New Year!

Made any resolutions for ought-2? I have, but I'm not telling anyone what they are.

Here are some pictures from Christmas. It was a pretty nice time. I got clothes. Remember when you got a bunch of toys, and maybe a pair of socks? I missed those times. Now I get a bunch of clothes and maybe one toy. This year my toy was a PlayStation game from my sister. It's a really fun game but highly addictive. So, I'm sorry to say, my sister must die. I'm getting carpo-tunal syndrome from playing that stupid game too much.

Well, that's all I have to say at the moment. School starts a week from yesterday. I have to get school stuff this week, and find the college bookstore so I can buy my textbooks.

SuperStar MOE!

November 7, 2001

Well, the past three weeks have been pretty funky for me, but I think I've finally found some direction. No, it's not playing with pictures of Moe, although I do find that extremely interesting.

Actually, it looks like I'll be going back to college! Yupper, I've been to PSU this morning, and discovered that a Master's degree is within my reach. I'll have to take some undergrad classes to get up to speed, but after that, I can apply to Graduate school, and continue on.

For those who are curious (or just don't have anything else to do), I'll be going back to school for Computer Science. For those of you who know my past, yes, that is what I started out as and then left. Well, it was a pretty goofy decision, and now I'm going back to it.

Ok, that's it, I pretty much just wanted to slap up the picture of SuperStar Moe.

I'm flying again! Last night I went flying with my instructor. It was a beautiful clear night, with a light wind out of the East. Because of the wind, we used Runway 10 which looks straight at Mt Hood. We did some landings, and some stall recoveries, and then he let me take it solo again. After 3 months and 1 day since my last flight, it was like I had never stopped. WOOHOO for me!

October 12, 2001

I found this picture on my computer. This is the plane I soloed in a while back. I've been in touch with my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) and will hopefully start flying again soon.

Here are some new pictures. I've been brow-beaten to supply some of the cat. She's gotten quite used to living here, especially after I had to kick her out of my room due to allergies. I'm not allergic to many cats, but there's something about this one that makes me itch like there's no tomorrow. I've also included a picture from our front porch during some rain. Unfortunately, it came out a little more grey than what it actually was, but I'll still put it up. I like the way the green really came out. And then there are some pictures from the side of the front porch of Mt St Helen's. We don't have a full-on view, but it's still pretty cool to see in the morning, when it's clear.

September 29, 2001

A week ago, my sister, myself, and our friend Charlie, decided to undergo a test. The test, simply put, is to observe the effects of country living on 3 city-dwelling 20-somethings. We moved from our small apartments in Northwest Portland, to a 4 bedroom house on 2 acres of land on Sauvie Island, about ten miles from town.

This is the house we live in, and the view from our front porch.

The house revealed itself to hold many secrets, many of which we're still discovering. The first, and probably most unusual, is the fourth tenant on the property named Moe. Moe is a sheep. Moe lives on most of the land here, but doesn't mind visitors in his little world. Eating fallen pears from his private tree, and munching on grass, Moe doesn't worry much about his figure, which is one reason I like him.

Another new tenant, who has yet to leave my closet is our new cat, Lil... or as she's also known, Jungle Kitty. We discovered the evidence of mice on the property, and not wanting to do a half-assed job, enlisted the help of an expert. However, Jungle Kitty, is still becoming acclimated and is not very social at the moment.

Here's the fearsome kitty hiding in my closet. She's kind of picture-shy at the moment.

Well, that's about it at the moment. Ruralization has cut off our email access from home for a while. I have to get off my butt and put in some more phone jacks. Stay tuned for more pictures, and updates on our zany household. Hopefully, the cat will be out of the closet by then.
