Titles of Prestige:

• Captain
• Quartermastre
• Boatswain
• Carpenter
• All others are just Crewmen

Rankings:

First there will always be the Captain. The Captain speaks for the group whenever there is a huge choice to be made. The Captain is skilled at bringing everyone’s talents together. He is also one of the bravest or smartest characters.

Next in command would be his Second, also called the Quartermaster. The Second helps the Captain deal with the other members of the Crew and acts as Captain if the Captain is injured or away.

There are sundry other roles: The Navigator (travel-guide and map-reader), Lookout (who is the most perceptive), Crewmen (the bulk of the Algaminster and your average rough-necked pirate), Crew Doctor (a healer who may be an acting priest as well), Carpenter (in charge of making minor or major repairs to the ship), and Cook (obviously, supplies the meals to the whole of the ship.)

The Algaminster is also composed of various scavengers and crafts-people.
