Masters Race
Mt. Hood Meadows, Mt. Hood Oregon

Skiyente sponsors the only Masters race series on Mt. Hood.  Masters Races follow the FIS format and general rules.  Pre-registration is greatly encouraged and sign-ins are open at 8 AM day of the race on site.  Gate keepers, too, must be on site at 8AM.

Skiyente Cup

This perpetual trophy is awarded to the woman with the fastest time of the day on the slalom course. It is a beautiful trophy dating back to 1959 on which is inscribed many names including Debbie Armstrong, former Olympian.
Masters Racers  travel all over the northwest.

Skiyente Memorial Cup

The second day of our Masters competition offers a giant slalom race format.  Every year this event honors a friend of Skiyente (sometimes more than one) who has  recently passed. The inscribed plaques with honorees are currently at the Mt.Hood Museum in Government Camp.

Gumbo Feed

If you raced, gate kept or helped in any way on our race, you are invited to our annual Gumbo Feed at the Huckleberry Inn in Government Camp.  Proceeds from the Gumbo dinner (prime rib also available) go to the Erin Nicole Scholarship fund.

Free Lift Tickets!

If you are 18 or older and would like to gate keep for one or  2 days, you will be given a limited lift ticket to work only that race course and then awarded a chit for a free day skiing on another day. You must complete gate keeping for the entire race to receive the free chit.
