About Save Jackass What is Save Jackass? Back in January, a 13-year-old boy set himself on fire while trying to imitate a Jackass stunt. Joe Lieberman, the senator of Connecticut where the boy lives, was furious and tried to have Jackass pulled from the air. Thus, Save Jackass was born. One sight came up with the idea to write letters to Lieberman for people who didn’t have time to do it themselves. Several petitions were also formed, and many sights urged people to visit Lieberman’s webpage and do something. Eventually, the controversy died down and Save Jackass faded away. Now, in light of the recent events involving several Jackass-related injuries, it is back. In order to have more force, several of the most influential Save Jackass sights have joined into one. Our mission is to preserve our rights, and a great TV show. What can you do? Save Jackass offers several ways to help out. We urge you to do at least one, but if possible, everything you can. First of all, we still have the original letter-writing part of Save Jackass. Writing a letter is one of the most important things you can do to help out, but we understand that you may be busy, or don’t know what to say. If this is the case, let us write one for you. All you have to do is go to the letter page and choose who you want to write to. Then, just send us your name, age, and location, and we will send you a custom letter that you cut and paste onto an email. It’s an easy and effective way to do your part. Another way to help out is to sign one of our petitions. We have several, each going out to different people. We suggest you sign them all, but even one will help. Please take the time. Finally, we have an email forward that you can send to all your friends to raise awareness about Save Jackass and our crusade. Remember that we need your help, and everything you do counts.
