On the Road to Violet City
As you leave the lab a man gives you 5 Pokéballs(you can also buy some at the pokemart).Head out.

Head up Route 29 and through Route 30. Head North from there. Try to catch an Furret and train him on the way.Avoid all weedles.

Your mom will then call you and tell you that she'll hold your money and asks that you let her know when your leaving town. The last trainer Joey gives you his phone number after you defeat him.

Continue North to find Route 31.There's a cave there but all it's good for is catching Geodudes and Zubat's.You can also find a Dunsparce in this cave but it is extremely rare until you get a phone call from Hiker:Anthony telling you that he has discovered a colony of them.

Head left and talk to the tree to get a nut.Go through the house which is a junction to Violet City.

Violet City
First, head to the Pokémon Center and heal your pokemon up. The Pokemart sells:
Pokéball-200
Potion-300
Escape Rope-550
Antidote-100
Paralyze Heal-200
Awakening-250
Defense Up-550
Attack Up-500
Speed Up-350
Mail(Flower)-50
In the Northern part of the town is Bellsprout tower. If you picked a Cyndaquil, this is an awesome place to train him. You will have to defeat alost every trainer in this tower to proceed.I'll get to this later.

On the bottom half of the town,a girl asks to trade a Bellsprout for an Onix.Trade it if you have one.

After that head to the Wing Gym. Inside you will fight the Gym Trainer Falkner for the Zephyr badge.Make sure your Pokémon are around level 10.

Gym Info
Name:Falkner
Type:Flying
Info:A trainer with pidgey Lv.7 and pidgeotto lv.9.
Badge:Zephyr
After you defeat him,he gives you the Zephyr badge witch increases your pokémon's attack power. He also gives you TM 31 Mud-Slap and the ability to use FLASH in caves.

After you leave,Professor Elm calls you and tells you that he found something out about the egg. Go to the pokecenter and a man next to the counter will ask you if you would like to recieve the egg from Elm(say yes of course!). The egg needs to grow a little before it hatches(1000 steps(I estimate you'll be at Goldenrod before it hatches). The Pokémon of course is Togepi.

Stock up on pokéballs and potions and head to Bellsprout Tower. If you have Cyndaquil, tear through the endless Bellsprouts as you climp to the top.If you picked Totodile/Chikorita,use a NORMAL type pokemon instead.Once you reach the top,Tetsuo(your rival) will be on his way out. Face the last trainer to get HM05(Flash).

Route 32
Go south if you have HM05 and the Zephyr Badge(if not,a man will stop you. If you find a Mereep, catch it. A female trainer will fight you further down Route 32 and after you defeat her, she'll give you her number(Sweet!!).

At the end of Route 32,there is a Pokémon Center. Inside,if you talk to the Fisherman,he'll give you the Old Rod(All you can catch is Magikarps).

Once you enter the cave, use Flash so you can see. I wish I had a map now,but unfortunately,I don't. Just head out the south end(there's a light shining where the exit is.).

Route 33/Azalea Town
Once you exit,go to the odd-looking tree and get another nut.Head left and you see none other than ....TEAM ROCKET!!!!!!

Apparently they're guarding a cave.Go to the house of Kurt(in the top left of the town). He says that Team Rocket is holding the Slowpoke of the town hostage and cutting of their tails for money. He says that you have given him hope to fight and runs off.

Head to the cave. Try to catch a slowpoke(They can learn tons of TM's/HM's plus they're useful). Fight the two Team Rocket Members(sorry, but Jesse and James aren't in this game. Cassidy and other nameless Rocket's are here to fight you though.)Take Rocket Girl(Cassidy)and Rocket Boy out and Team Rocket will retreat. Kurt returns you to his house and gives you a Lure ball. He makes Pokénuts into Pokéballs.

Gym Info
Bugsy:A bug trainer. She is a complete pushover. Her pokemon are Metapod lv.14,Kakuna lv.14,and Scyther lv.16.Cyndaquil is suggested. She gives you the insect badge.
After healing your Pokémon at the Pokécenter, head west and fight your Rival. He has the second genoration of the Pokémon he picked in the beginning as well as Gastly and Zubat.

After Defeating him, heal your Pokémon and head left throught the route changing house.

Ilex Forest
You will find a little boy who has lost his Farfetch'd. You will then find his Farfetch'd not too far away.Talk to it. Farfetch'd will then run straight up.You have to go right and up to sneak up behind Farfetch'd.Talk to him and he'll run away. He'll run down then go above him and talk to him again and he will run down.Talk to him again from the right.

Farfetch'D will return to his master and he will give you HM01 Cut!!!(As you all know, cut lets you cut down trees and bushes). After that, search the forest for a man that will give you TM02 Headbutt. If you use headbutt on different kinds of trees, different kinds of Pokémon fall out.

Head North and Cut down the weird looking tree to get onto Route 34.

Route 34
Head North and to the right you'll see a house with a yard. Inside you'll see a man and a woman. The man trains male Pokémon and the woman trains Female Pokémon. If you leave her a male and female of the same pokemon, they will breed them and give you an egg with the stats similiar to the pokemon's parents.

Breeding is VERY important to any trainer as it is the only way to reproduce rare pokémon(Totodile,Cyndaquil,Chikorita,Eevee). If you can only get one of a pokemon, breed it with ditto.

Pikachu + Ditto=Pichu
Magmar + Ditto=Magby
Jynx + Ditto=Smoochum
Ditto + Ditto=Ditto
Head north some more and you'll wind up in the marvelous Goldenrod City. It is the epitomy(resemblance)of Celadon City(From the Huge Pokémart to the Slots). Go to the top of the town and you'll find a bike shop.Talk to the guy and he'll give you a bike. After that,go outside and assign your bike to the [SELECT] button. Now any time you press select, your bike will come up.

In a house North of the train station is a man who will let you rename your pokemon.

In a house behind the Pokécenter is a man who says he was losing at the slots so he threw his coin case away in an underground passage. The underground passage is diagonally down-left from the pokécenter.

Search it until you find a Pokéball(which is the coin case). It's located directly above the shop.
