The Show Must Go On

Your hand on my shoulder sends a shiver down my spine

The show is almost over I'm running out of time

I don't know your motivation is it true or just a con

But despite what I think the show must go on

Half way through a little more every day

Not sure whether to sing or get down on my knees and pray

Either way it's nice to have a dream and a reason to go on

No matter what happens the show must go on.

Your voice in my ears

Sweet thoughts in my mind

I can almost taste your kisses

Your eye catches mine

I remind myself

The show must go on

Then I feel your touch again

And all other thoughts are gone.

A brush against me in the dark seemingly without a care

A crowd in the house and a fog in the air

But the look in your eyes says the next show is mine

Just can't wait until another show is on.

Later on the cast is just shooting the breeze

An eyebrow up and a touch goodnight is enough to weaken my knees

You lead me away from the crowd and you look in to my eyes

Then it's time to go home and I'm feeling just fine

Your voice in my ears

Sweet thoughts in my mind

I can almost taste you kisses

Your eye catches mine

You lead me away from the crowd

And you look in to my eyes

Then it's time to go home

And I'm feeling just fine

Your hand on my shoulder sends a shiver down my spine

The show is almost over I'm running out of time

I don't know your motivation is it true or just a con

But despite what I think the show must go on
