This appointment is in accordance with the following:

Under the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians Tribal Law and Order Code, Title I, Chapter 3, Section 1-3-3: 
The Chairperson of the Tribal Council, with concurrence of the Tribal Council, shall appoint a Chief 
Judge and up to two Associate Judges of the Tribal Court. The qualifications, salary and other benefits
of employment shall be set through resolution by the Tribal Council.

Qualifications

1)   Twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
2)   Posses substantial legal education and or experience;
3)   Wil1ing to attend training sessions for tribal judges;
4)   Abide by an applicable judicial code of ethics; and
5)   Must be capable of supervising a staff of judges, clerks and other personnel

The Kaibab Paiute Tribal Council will not entertain applications from person(s) who are:

1)   Members of the Tribal Council
2)   Person(s) otherwise employed by the Tribal Court

JOB SUMMARY: This position is under the supervision of the Ziibiwing Cultural Society, Retail Operations.
 The Retail Merchandise Buyer is responsible for adhering to a monthly budget in the purchasing of all retail 
inventory for Dawe-Wi-Gamigoose (The Little Store-Casino Gift Shop), Naanooshke Gallery 
(Hummingbird Native American Art Gallery) and other shops that may also be added. The chosen candidate
 will also be responsible for tracking and accounting of all retail merchandise. Merchandise includes: Native 
American Fine Art, Native American made craft items, Soaring Eagle items and clothing, cigarettes, jewelry, 
music, books, games, etc.

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for ensuring all retail stores maintain proper inventory mix and levels, as well as accountability
 of all retail merchandise.
2. Places merchandise orders, meets with vendors, negotiates prices, expedites orders, follows up on deliveries
 and defects and ensures credit is received on defective merchandise.
3. Processes correspondence, purchases orders, letters and memos, inventory reports, conducts monthly
 inventory audits, maintains computerized database vendor files, paperwork files and completes other paperwork

2. Will actively interpret and promote the culture, history, and collections of the Saginaw Chippewas.
3. Coordinate the education collection, which entails soliciting pieces for the collection, developing 
the system in which they are used, stored, and maintained. 
4. Assist with curriculum development. Knowledge of curriculum processes is important.
5. Will address requests from various Tribal departments. Example: Binoodju Montessori requested
 help to develop historically relevant curriculum for the Anishnabe school.
6. Coordinate and research the process for ZCS publications. All aspects of publications must be 
identified:example of, but not limited to ...coordinating writer, printers, publishers, copyrights.
7. Assist with the development of exhibits. For example: Gaming has developed a need for exhibits,
which showcase information about the SCIT. The specialist would be part of the team.
8. Must be willing to travel for public speaking engagement through out Mid-Michigan. Will present 
information about the Saginaw Chippewas. ZCS receives numerous requests from public schools, 
churches, and other institutions for historical cultural presentations.
9. Must become familiar with ZCS collections management system.

                                                         This is a Management position.                                                             

Major Duties:

  1. Directs and coordinates the management of administrative policies and procedures which guide 
    the operationof the Court.
  2. Manages and supervises administrative activities for the judicial system, including budget and
     fiscal preparation and personnel supervision, caseflow and jury management and advisor to the 
    Fort Berthold District Court. Special Requirements:
