The Memories Linger On
Remembering That Fateful Day

Today, September 11th, 2001, in America, millions of us all over the world have witnessed what the true meaning of evil is all about. Sadly, over three thousand innocent people will not only feel the wrath of evil, but they will die by the hands of the demons themselves.

Demons, terrorists of foreign lands, made their way into America and without remorse, brutally executed thousands of innocent people who did nothing to deserve dying the way they did. As we watch in horror, the smoke billows across the streets of the cities where life will never be the same again, and we are left to ponder within ourselves just how blind we had become to imagining that anyone could hurt us the way we have been hurt today.

Life within America will never feel the same for me. I have a fear inside that has never been there before, not like this. As children we grow up being afraid of the boogy man and we're told there is no such thing, but I beg to differ! There is indeed a boogy man, lots of them, because boogy men are evil and those who have done this to the people living within America are evil. How dare they come into America and hurt so many innocent people and feel justification in doing so? I am unable to come up with the words that I know are hurting my heart, they are stuck within my mind as the blood from my heart pumps the adrenalin of the fear that has now been instilled within me.

Although I still have not reached deep inside of me where the pain is the worst for me, I have managed to write a few things about what I have witnessed today. I just happened to be home for a few day break from my chemotheraphy and received a phone call from my brother-in-law who told us to turn on the television. When we did I nearly had a heart attack as I watched the airplanes hit their mark and witnessed the horrible tragedy of what was left to come. My prayers are with the families and may God Bless the souls of each and every person affected by this horrendous tragedy.
