A Word From Brenda
~Amy
Grant~
El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
El Elyon na
Aldonia,
Age to age You're still the same,
By
the power of the name.
El Shaddai,
ElShaddai,
Er kamka na Adonai,
We will praise
and lift You high,
El Shaddai
By The Power Of His Name
Hopelesness, depair, defeat...Jesus overcame
them all! The power of the Blood of Jesus, the
authority of the Name of Jesus, has broken every
chain of bondage that could ever come against us!
Praise God!! The words of this song, El Shaddai, so
touch my heart. They speak of Gods Soverign plan in
our lives, and in this earth. Gods Power to create
and to save. The plan of God, from before the
creation, past the garden of eden, through the
lineage of Abraham, all the way to the Cross of
Jesus and beyond! Every detail of our lives, taken
into account by the Hand of an Almighty God who
loves us more than we could ever comprehend. Praise
You Jesus! So many times, I face circumstances that
seem beyond my control. Thoughts come to my mind,
seeds of doubt and depression try to set in... then
Gods Word comes to life in my heart. The doubt
becomes faith, and the depression turns into
anticipation of what God is doing! When I hear this
song, I think of the story of Hagar.
Genesis 21:
8-21
She had gone as far as she could go in her
own strength. There was no hope as far as her eyes
could see, the sounds of her child crying was too
much for her to bear. She had come to a place where
she said:
I can't see...
I don't
know...
I
can't do it...
Like Hagar, what has happened
to us in the physical, has blinded us to the plan of
God. The provision is there, if we would just look
up.
(verse 1)
Through Your love and through the
ram,
You saved the son of Abraham;
Through the
power of your hand,
Turned the sea into dry
land.
To the outcast on her knees,
You were
the God who really sees,
And by Your
might,
You set Your children free.
We may feel hopeless at times, but God is in
control! The
very thing that satan uses to cause you pain, God
will use to strengthen you and bring comfort to
many! What satan meant for destruction, God turned
for the redemption of all people! When I feel like I
can't see how this is going to work out, or I don't
know what I'm supposed to do next, or I can't do
this
anymore... that's when God says:
I
See...
I
Know...
I Can...
(verse 2)
Through the years You've made it
clear,
That the time of Christ was
near,
Though the people couldn't see,
What
Messiah ought to be.
Though Your Word contained
the plan,
They just could not understand,
Your
most awesome work was done,
Through the frailty
of Your Son.
Join me is this prayer:
Lord Jesus, that I would
come to trust You in all things. I pray for eyes to
see Your hand of mercy and to know the plan that you
are working through my life. Father, that I would be
strength to those around me and a light to those in
darkness. Thank You Father God, and may I be found
faithful to the call that You have placed on my life
till the day of Christ return!!
Amen
