Brief Descriptions of Some Central Figures
- Angus: Acknowledged son of Llewella
Dark eyed, olive complected, Angus is muscular as a swimmer is, rather than the more bull-like Gerard. He has strong, long-fingered hands, and sleek black hair that shows dark green in sunlight. On the infrequent occasions when he grins, his teeth are glaring white, and he seems almost a different person. The rest of the time he watches the world quietly with an earnest expression. Dresses, usually, in muave and grey.
- Azaria: Younger sister of Merlin, Daughter to Dara
Height: 5'5" Weight: 125 lb. Hair: Long, wavy, blue-black
Eyes: dark green Build: Slender, yet muscular, like a runner
Colors: Blue and silver
Azaria walks and speaks with a graceful, flowing
manner, and is the epitome of self-control under
most circumstances. Her expression is usually
carefully crafted, and her smile is that of the Mona
Lisa. She dresses in her favored colors of blue and
silver, favoring tunics and flowing capes, but also
preferring denim and running shoes when dressing
for her own comfort. A complex individual, Azaria's
mood often ranges from thoughtful and introspective,
to sociable and talkative, to bitterly cynical and
sarcastic. Independent and free-spirited, she tends to
avoid major responsibility.
- Cassandra: Claims to be Daughter of Brand
Height: 5'3" Weight: 115lb Build: Slim/Athletic Hair: Long, Straight, Black. Eyes: Green Apparent Age: Early 20's. Race: Japanese. Distinguishing Features: Missing the end of her left pinky, tattoo of a dragon on her left ankle, tattoo of some Japanese characters on her right shoulder. Clothing Colors: Black & Gold. She always wears something gold with diamonds. She generally wears black, usually unobtrusive clothing.
- D’Accord: Some goon from Shadow, prizefighter from Golden Circle, Incata.
Youthful, in his 20s. Nearly black skin and negroid features. Bearishly large. Speaks with a Haitian/French accent. Wears dark brown and black monk-like robes over sandals and a light kilt.
- Darius: Claims to be Son of Dierdre
Darius stands 6'1" , short black hair colors: black, silver and green
His trump shows him dressed in his colors, standing in front of a distant city, a small dragon-like creature perched on his neck, with other unknown creatures flying in the background. The sky appears to be swirling and any prolonged concentration makes the viewer feel sea-sick. A sword and dagger hang from his belt, with a small black sphere levitating above his left hand.
- Daryn: Some goon from Shadow.
Works for Random in some capacity.
- Devlin: Unknown parentage; treated as family by Random
- Elsbeth: Acknowledged daughter of Bleys.
She is of medium height, slimmish build, reddish hair cut in something resembling a bob, green eyes. If her complexion can lean a bit toward the olive end of the spectrum, all the better. She wears earth-tones, natural fibers (naturally), mixed textures, occasional bursts of bright color. Her clothing is -always- functional; the style is vaguely reminiscent of Amelia Aerhart.
- Hogan: Some goon from Shadow.
Hogan is built to be tall, lean, and slightly stooped, but comes a few inches short
of six feet tall. His face is a vector-map of wrinkles, almost all of them defining
smiles, twinkling eyes, and broad grins. The top of his head is shiny underneath
the few remaining hairs, which he grows long on one side and combs across. He wears
a goatee to cover a receding chin.

- Leigh: Acknowledged son of Fiona
- Machel: Uncertain parentage; from shadow Earth; could be Flora, Eric, Corwin... anybody
Machel is a middle aged man with a healthy build. His head is large, with a crencent jawline and smooth skin. Atop this is wavey red hair which rises from his head as though a fire was burning inside of him and could not be contained. He has wonder filled bright green eyes which appear, impossably, both wide and canny. They dart to and fro - in a clever but not seedy manner.
- Minerva: Acknowledged daughter of Gerard
Tall. The first thing anyone notices about Minerva is her height. She has eyes of stained walnut, wavy brown hair worn shoulder length, and wrinkles around the corners of her mouth and eyes. She spent many centuries in Shadow, only recen tly being introduced to Amber by Gerard. She generally wears trousers and large tunics, or long but practical shifts that hide a rather thick waist. Can usually be found in the gardens behind the palace, where she enjoys working.
- Rhiannon: Some goon from shadow. Once worked for Fiona, now for Random, under Machel.
She could never be mistaken for a dancer, and yet there is about her an air of certitude that is unmistakable. It is not grace, but control that marks her every motion. She generally wears leathers, dyed forest green and sienna, which do little to mask her height. Tall for a woman, she towers over even a good many men and makes no appologies for it, instead standing straight-backed, even at rest. Her hair, the color of dying embers, is pulled back into a tight braid which reaches well below mid-back.
- Slack: Some goon from Amber. Owns and runs the Descent.
Slack is a gristly, lack-tooth old muck with rheumy eyes. What few teeth he has left
lean haphazardly in his discolored gums. His face has a mottled piebald appearance
because of the patchy gray five-day-growth beard he wears. He speaks with a thick
accent -- which accent changes from time to time -- and dresses in what appear to be
cast off fisherman's clothing, both from sight and smell.
- Smythe: Some goon from shadow.
Smythe dresses tidily, whether he is in waistcoat and spats or loinclothe and robes. His face
is patrician and shows signs of the cultured inbreeding of some aristocracy or other.
Smythe always appears to have a headache from arching his eyebrows and peering down
his nose in a superior fashion, but at rest his face will slip into a simple sneer.
