These are some theories. . .
Theory I: Human "sentience" (spirit, self, ego, Catholosistic soul, etc) was injected into alternate space/time from prior space/time.
It could have been injected at any time-frame conditions allowed for. This "sentience" could have been injected at or post singularity. Otherwise it may have required a time frame with certain conditions, maybe even corporeal body conditions. Time would be a function of sentience itself. "If a tree falls in the forest, but no one is around, does it make a sound." This may be irrelevent. Since the "falling" is a function of sentience relative to its surrounding space/time, without an observant sentience in the universe, the senario is nonsense, literally.
So in a way, the "injector" of the sentiences" could be said to have been the creator. But this is a distortion of the reality of the act and is a result of communicating with those who have a narrow preconception of the "events".
Theory II: Sentience is some phenomenon of high-level neural net comparison within the short-term memory centers of the brain. Consciousness does seem to consist of event comparison. It'd be impossible to definitively prove. There may or may not have been external sentient influences, but they aren't needed.
