Conversion by Conditioning

I'm currently investigating a theory of mine having to do with the tremendous growth of the CJCLDS. In a book called "Alma", there is a conversion description having to do with "seeds" and "hope". It seems to be an exact description of what the US CIA determined to be the most effective form of mental conditioning (brainwashing). The overall concept perpetuated is if one would like to believe in the religion, and one learns, recites, prays, participates, and "progresses" enough within the structured peer system, then one's belief will grow. The conclusion given in "Alma" is that if one's belief grows, then that belief must be a good belief. As much as I'd like this religion to be "devine", this points in the opposite direction. It's also a little creepy. Yet, this could explain why of so many religions in the US, the CJCLDS is growing the fastest. While the "pray-test" tends to be their doctrinal form of conversion, in practice their missionaries tend to use the "progression-program" to convert in the field. Also, concentrating on and then nurturing certian emotional states ("the burning in the bosom") would be supportive of this theory. More soon. . .
