This is similar to the Emotional Fixation earlier discribed, but tends to occur later. What is usually refered to as a "witness to the mind" occurs. This seems to occur when the convert has been through a trial of their faith. Something challenged their belief in the supposedly divinely influenced emotions. Soon afterwards they may experience a sort of euphoria where certain religious conscepts will seem "independently right" or "in their own sphere of existence" -- as if they can see with their mind that the concepts are correct, regardless of external evidence to the contrary. There is also another form of this which seems to occur. The euphoria that occurs after making intelligent deductions under normal conditions is instead felt when the subject thinks of a certain non-evidence supported concept. Since the same feeling occurs after normal understanding of a concept and its support with evidence, the occurence of the feeling at the time of the idea's conception is considered a "witness of the divine" that the concept, prior to supporting evidence and further relational analysis, is true.
