Fifth Element Modification Ideas
Scene: Korbin puts Lee Loo on couch at preacher's place.
Modification. . .
Korbin: "I think she hurt herself falling through the roof of my cab. She's asleep, shouldn't I wake her up?"
Preacher: "No, let her be. It appears she's sleeping off the injuries."
Korbin: "Ya, well I could sware she looked in worse shape minutes ago."
Preacher: "Rapid healing -- amazing biology."
Korbin: "In more ways than one." (smurk)
Scene: While Lee Loo is crying and injured in air duct.
Modification. . .
(Flashback of "crying with war footage" scene.)
Lee Loo: "KORBINNNN!" (Calling out)
Scene: Any appropriate time during when "Korbin rescues Lee Loo in air duct" up to just prior to "Korbin waking Lee Loo to do 5th element climax".
Modification. . .
Korbin: "It looks like some shrapnal cut her up pretty bad."
Scene: Just after Korbin says, "I love you" to Lee Loo, but before he kisses her.
Modification. . .
Preacher: "Now she's complete." (Look of relief, etc.)
Maybe. . .it would also be nice, as the group goes into the "Egypt room" towards the end, to see someone walking over the big, dead space suit clad Wanduchawan(sp?) from the beginning that was trapped.
While Ruby Rod's humor seems distracting just prior to the climax and eliminating some of it would focus more on Korbin and Lee Loo, all the above would be enough to raise the film a notch. Think of it as "The Perfect Edit" -- pretty close anyway.
