Department Information

The Lakeview Police Department consists of 1 Chief, 1 Sergeant, 4 Patrol Officers, and 12 Reserve Officers who are paid to cover shifts. We have 1 D.A.R.E. car, 3 Ford Crown Vic patrol cars, 1 motor assisted patrol bicycle, and 1 Jeep 4WD patrol vehicle for winter. Officers carry .40 S & W cal. semi-auto handguns, and we are currently looking to standardize the brand.

We have a county wide D.A.R.E. program and are currently developing a Neighborhood Watch program. Lakeview Police adhere to the Community Policing philosophy.

Due to the isolation of the community, we work in cooperation with the Oregon State Police, Lake County Sheriff's Office, Modoc County, CA Sheriff's Office, and the California Highway Patrol to ensure the security and safety of the town of Lakeview.
