APOTHEOSIS

Mortician goes Black Metal. Although it may sound quite exaggerated, Apotheosis have dared to make this blend, including all the necessary elements: intros, a growling and cavernous voice, and the typical high pitched black metal voice. A band to be aware of, even though I’d enjoy it more if they stuck more to the Mortician similarity. I hope to hear their latest work to find out if they chose one style or the other, ‘cause I’m really intrigued.

It’s a pleasure listening to this demo, maybe because I enjoy underground and primitive sounding bands. This band sounds very dark and reminds me the Brazilian scene. Blood of Christ play a death/doom/black metal where technique is not too important, only forceful and aggressive riffs and rhythms, mixing fast and slow parts, kind of an Autopsy meets older My Dying Bride. This is a band which I hope I can learn more of because I really enjoyed this demo.

Grind/death metal with Morbid Angel rhythms, brutal vocals and hellish riffs. Lovers of the underground sound, this tape is for you. I enjoyed it very much for it’s heavy and dark sound. Five songs of pure aggression. This is for every Suffocation, Lividity, Immolation and Morbid Angel fan. In May of 1999, due to differences with the other band members, Jason Kolodny left the band. He was replaced immediately after his departure by Mike Grabowski, who also plays bass in a hardcore band named As They Die.

We received one of the most complete promo kit from necrodemon: Bio, flayers, poster and a cass ep. Good sound and excellent full-color cover.The music tends to Swedish to death metal in the latest dismember style mixed with at the gates, but this band comes from Chile (Arica more exactly). It’s a good cass ep . Heavy rhythms with normal but dead right guitar solos.Vocals could’ve been stronger or deeper for better results. Lyrics are inspired on the work of H.P. Lovecraft .Necrodemon will release a new mcd called "Invocation of the unlight" very soon. I hope they go far because the quality as a band is already there.

Brutal death metal from Sweden en without melodic influence or Gothenburg sound. With a really guttural and deep voice (They advise don't have any vocal effects) are three   the tracks with wich S.O.F show that know how to do pretty good death metal.In "Flowen Under Sky" (my fave) they attack and destroy your body. Devasting drums full of strong, rhythms in the  Deeds Of Flesh , Malevolent creation wave. Their last track strip Humanity is slower so in the drums  as in the guitar work but is the same impacting one, obviously is always  accompained by the Henke's brutal voice who play the bass also. The production is excellent, clear sound and pretty well managed specially  in the drums and  voice work, the artwork of this promo cass. is nice, full color cover, band's picture and lyrics a good work for extreme death metal lovers and a good option   among so much melodic bands from Sweden
