These questions I need to ask you,
That are bottled up inside,
Refrain from being answered,
And make for teary eyed, sleepless nights.
If I told you that I needed you,
Would you wipe away my tears?
If I told you that you are the answer to my every prayer,
would you take away my fear?
The fear that says when I finally get to express what causes this fray,
You wouldn't feel the same for me,
and turn and walk away.
If I told you that you are my shooting star
That I wish upon so true,
Would you look at me through loving eyes
And see my wish through
If I should ever get the chance to tell you how I feel,
That these words in this paper are true,
And hopefully your heart I would steel.
But if, for some reason
you don't feel the same way that I do,
I pray that you find happiness in the woman
For whom your love is so true.
