Pigs On The Video

These are TV recordings and live audience videos that are NOT in the official Pink Floyd box sets.

"More of Why Pink Floyd?" : 2011-2012 TV ads and interviews from internet sources, including several Gerald Scarfe interviews.

"Passion For Speed: Nick Mason" : 2 DVD set of Mason interviews from many internet sources. Over 2 hours of Nick talking about cars, his book, Pink Floyd, and many other topics.

"Syd Barrett: The Ultimate Collection" : 2 DVD set packed full of rare Syd-era Floyd footage from various TV news films from around the world, including some familiar and RARE film footage! Many of these I had seen before, but these are the clearest copies available.

"Blurry Visions". This is one DVD full of internet promos and press kits, including "Echoes", the "WYWH" remaster ad, and much more. Some are not crystal-clear, because of the internet quality limits on some web sites. Still, it is an interesting collection of clips. 1 DVD.

"August 15, 1971" : Longer than the Early Years box set's edited version.

"A Long Drawn Out Trip" : The 1973 animated film by Floyd artist Gerald Scarfe (His first animation ever!) 16 minutes. 1 DVD.

"Feb. 28, 1980 THE WALL" : Professionally filmed but NOT officially released. Complete Wall concert! 2 DVD's.

"August 1, 1980 REHEARSAL" : Incomplete rehearsal bootleg video from the balcony. About 45 minutes from the middle of the rehearsal (so most songs are not quite complete). 1 DVD.

“Aug 9, 1980 THE WALL LIVE” : Professionally filmed but NOT officially released. Live Wall concert, with lots of close-up shots. 2 DVD's.

"Feb. 8, 1987 The Mantler-Mason Project" : This is a TV performance by Nick Mason, Rick Finn, and a few other guys playing Mantler songs live. 63 min.

“PF 1987 Tour Rehearsal” : 1 DVD : 1 hour of great zoomed-close PF rehearsing in an airplane hanger a few days before the "Lapse Tour" started; includes Echoes! Also includes TV News footage from the 1987-88 tour.

"September 13, 1987" : Audience video, from the upper back, but very good zoom. One of the very few videotapes with "Echoes" from this tour!

"September 21, 22, 23, 1987 Compilation". Several sources combine to give a great collection. Most of this is great zooming of the band in action! 12 songs.

"September 30, 1987" : Set 2 and encores ONLY from a floor seat! Sometimes shaky.

"October 7, 1987" Shows the band with waist-up zooms!

"October 7, 1987 and January 22, 1988 Compilation" : October 7 is a side view; Zooms close from upper section. January 22, 1988 is from a middle section (center view), zooms-in very well. January 22 occasionally goes out of focus when a head pops-up.

"November 4, 1987": Zooms close from upper left section.

"November 16, 1987" : Missing 5 songs from the first half of the show. At the break, the bootlegger moves to another seat (angle) so the first half of the show is from left of center, and the second half is right of center view.

“The Calhoun Tapes: November 3-5, 1987” : Collection of videotaped songs from Georgia (USA) concerts in 1987. Some of these were released to MTV as promo videos and some were just shelved due to performance mistakes.

"PF Over The Wall" : 1988 MTV Special with promo clips and interview segments. (Some clips are the same as in the "Rockumentary", and some were new interview clips filmed during the tour.

"January 22, 1988" : Zooms-in very well, center-stage view, middle section. Sometimes goes out of focus when a head pops-up.

"The Other Side Of The Wall" : 21 min. MTV Special behind the scene of the making of the movie The Wall.

"PF In Berlin: August 21, 1994" and "PF In Italy : July 15, 1989" : Behind the scenes TV specials of the building of the stages in 1994 and 1989, including interviews, etc. The Berlin special is from German TV and all in German. The Italian TV special is from Italian TV and is all in Italian.

"March 3, 1988" : Upper level. Sometimes a little fuzzed (auto focus trying to fine-tune David in bright spotlight).

"PF's Italian TV Collection: Volumes 1-3" . TV performances and Italian TV interviews (most from the 1980's - some with English subtitles). Some rare clips here!

"Combination of 3 shows: Nov. 4, 1987, January 22, 1988, and March 3, 1988" : These shows have their great and not-so-great moments. So I edited together the best parts and put the Nov. 4 audio on it. Much more enjoyable than seeing just one angle on one of these alone.

"March - April 1988 Compilation" : This is a compilation of several March and April audience videotapes, mostly from the Japan concerts. Most of the footage is from the upper levels of the audience (few zooms), but a complete set list from several angles is presented on 2 DVD's.

"April 30, 1988" : Sometimes a little shaky. Sometimes the picture is wiggly, but it is the only copy I have seen of this concert.

"May 8, July 9, and Aug. 17, 1988 Compilation": All 3 of these videotapes are incomplete recordings. I mixed them together to make a whole concert.

"May 18, 1988 and June 27, 1988: Compilation" : May 18 and June 27 are a little to the right of center and both zoom-in well. The sound is from June 27, except for the missing section of "One Slip" which was added from May 18.

"May 15, 1988 and June 27, 1988: Compilation" : May 15 is a CLOSE seat on the floor (estimated row 30). And June 27 is to the right of center and zooms-in well. VG+

"Germany: June 1988 or 1989" : Excellent zoomed close-up head-to-toe concert on 2 DVD's! DVD 1 also includes a rare 1988 TV interview of Gilmour and Mason! The date of this concert video is argued, because it is labeled to be only 3 weeks before the 1989 Live In Venice concert. BUT Gilmour's HAIR is too SHORT in this video for it to have been that close to the Venice date (in which his hair is much longer)! It is in Germany, because Gilmour speaks German to the audience.

"June 10, 1988 in France" : Starts while sun is still up.

"June 27, 1988" : This one is to the right of center and zooms-in well. EX-

"June 28, 1988" : Close zooms! Sometimes it is a little shaky, but filmed from the left side and zooms well.

"June 29, 1988" : Great footage and Excellent pic! Filmed from the right side of the middle level. Zooms very close for head-to-toe footage!

"July 1, 1988" : GREAT footage from a floor seat!

"July 3, 1988" : Second half of the concert only.

"July 15, 1988" : This one is to the right of center. Very good footage of the band, stage, and lasers. (Four songs missing)

"July 26, 1988" : This concert video is filmed from the floor from about 10 rows back! Excellent zoomed footage of the band, stage, and lasers!

"Compilation of July 26 and June 28, 1988" : Nice compilation of these 2 concert bootlegs!

"August 8, 1988" : Good footage of the whole stage, pig, and lasers. The first half of the show is played in sunlight, so some lasers are difficult to see. The second half is at night and looks much better! Unfortunately, the recording ends during "Comfortably Numb".

"August 19, 1988" : Great footage, right side of the stage! Missing 4 songs from the first set.

"May 17, 1989" : Great footage of the full stage concert. Set One is complete. Set Two is incomplete. (Missing 5 songs)

"May 20, 1989": CLOSE footage! Sometimes SHAKY, but cool! Only the first 45 minutes of the show before the recorder was caught!

"June 1988- June 1989 Compilation" : Close-zoom footage from several of the best Lapse bootleg videotapes, mostly taken from the close incomplete shows that were caught by security. A complete set list is presented here.

"May 31, 1989" This is right up close to the edge of the stage (maybe Row 2). Some songs are missing, because security repeatedly warns him to turn off the video camera. Only 13 and a half songs were captured but from the floor, you couldn't be any closer to the band than this!

"June 16, 1989" : Great footage from the floor! (maybe row 8). Unfortunately, security catches the recorder at the end of "Sorrow", so this excellent footage is only about 45 minutes, from "Shine On" through "Sorrow."

“June 18, 1989” : Koln, Germany. Filmed from the upper left of center. The sun is still up during the first few songs. Great footage of the band, screen, flying pig, etc.

“June 27, 1989" : Great video of the full stage, lasers, flying pig, etc.

“July 1, 1989” : Live PF concert filmed from the audience, steady, and center-stage view from the back.

"July 10, 1989" : Second half of the concert only.

"1994 PF Tour News": Collection, mostly from Canada TV, during the tour about concerts and fake tickets being sold, etc.

"PULSATING 1994" : A 9-song DVD that I made, in which I edited together multiple sources from each of the 9 songs that were not professionally filmed for PULSE, yet were captured on bootleg videotapes. "One Slip" is only one source, May 22, because it appears to have only been played once in 1994. "Lost for Words" is only captured on 2 videos. "Marooned" was only played and captured 2 times. The others had multiple sources for me to choose from. The set list is: Astronomy Domine, What Do You Want From Me, On The Turning Away, A Great Day For Freedom, Poles Apart, Lost For Words, Hey You, Marooned, and One Slip.

"March 30, 1994" : Complete first concert of the 1994 tour.

"March 30, 1994" : This is a 2 DVD version of the bootleg video above, BUT the audio has been replaced by an excellent bootleg CD set. Everything is in sync and sounds great!

"April 14, 1994": San Diego, CA. Close floor seat! Great footage! 2 DVD's.

"April 17, 1994": Low gen, so very good pic and sound: Side view, yet you can still see the screen. Beginning is missing: Starts during "Take It Back". 2 hours ONLY. GREAT shots of fireworks high in the sky during "Run like Hell". Very colorful show, yet sometimes a little shaky.

"April 20, 1994": From right side of the seating area.

"April 21, 1994" : Audience video from ROW 6 with close zooming! The only negative aspect is that you see Gilmour up-close for most of the show and you miss most of the lasers and effects that cannot be captured from such a close seat.

"April 22, 1994": Filmed from the right side or seats. Sound is a little low. This was possibly the ONLY live performance of the song "ONE SLIP" on this tour!

"April 24, 1994" : Almost complete (starts during the second song). Filmed from upper level. The recorder is often shaky, and it becomes annoying.

"April 28, 1994": Zooms close, but sometimes a bit shaky. End of "Comfortably Numb" is cut short, but otherwise, it's complete.

"May 1, 1994": Incomplete. 96 minutes ONLY. Starts off shaky, but improves. Filmed from the floor.

"May 4, 1994": Filmed from mid-level. Great, clear recording.

"May 31, July 18, Oct 16, and Oct 21, 1994" : Each of these are incomplete recordings, so I have combined the footage to make an almost complete concert set list.

"June 2, 1994"

"June 3, 1994": Very good sound, but quality varies. Some songs were filmed well, and some songs are VERY SHAKY.

"June 4, 1994": Mid-level, zooms well. Sound is a little low, but great picture. Complete.

"June 10, 1994"

"June 11, 1994"

"June 20, 1994": filmed from upper left; almost looking down on the band.

"July 3, 1994": Complete. Good as a souvenir if you were there, but annoying to most people. During the first half, heads keep bobbing in the way. It gets better during the second half. Great footage of the band when the band can be seen. Also, it's a bit of a side view (Tim's end of the stage) so there's no screen film footage, just the band, and people's heads.

"July 10, 1994": Zoomed waist-up close from upper level.

"July 14, 1994": Almost complete: a small cut during "Comfortably Numb".

"July 17, 1994": Great, clear concert bootleg, which includes the full Dark Side Of The Moon.

"July 18, 1994": Complete, upper level view. Shows the "enigma publius" in lights!

"August 2, 1994": Upper right, almost center view. Almost complete: cuts off in the middle of Run Like Hell.

"August 2 and June 3, 1994": Compilation of footage from both concerts on 2 DVD's.

"August 4, 1994": Starts during the second song.

"August 6, 1994"

"Aug 2, Aug 4, and Aug 6, 1994 Compilation": GREAT compilation of all three of these concerts with picture-in-picture views, and the official screen video films added from the PULSE DVD's in picture-in-picture as well!

"August 19, 1994": Starts during second song. Great zooms! Head-to-toe footage!

"Aug. 23, 1994" : From a floor seat. Good zooms! Two sources together this whole show! The third DVD also include 2 Pink Floyd performances from 1967, two Nick Mason interviews from 2005 and 2008, and a Roger Waters 2008 interview. 3 DVD's.

"August 23 and Sept. 23, 1994 Compilation". Sept 23 has the complete Dark Side Of The Moon set. Both were combined to fill the missing parts of Aug. 23.

"Aug. 27, 1994" : Second half of the show only.

"Aug. 29, 1994" : Second half of the show only. Includes "Marooned". Sometimes shaky.

"August 30, 1994": "Marooned Night".

"September 2, 1994": Left of center. Close zooms!

"September 3 and 5, 1994": Compilation of songs from 2 camera angles in Rotterdam.

"September 7, 1994": CLOSE footage, yet sound is a little low (plastic baggie over the mic due to rain). Missing 2 songs in the middle.

"September 7 and 13, 1994": Great compilation of 2 nice audience videos.

"September 13, 1994"

"September 13, 1994" The audio for this copy was replaced with the SOUNDBOARD AUDIO bootleg of this concert!

"September 15, and July 14, 1994" Compilation.

"September 17, 1994": VERY SHAKY picture (person was zooming in from far back, so the slightest shakes seem large). Includes a full performance of Dark Side Of The Moon.

"September 17 and October 13, 1994 Compilation": Great combination of these 2 concerts, which includes the full Dark Side Of The Moon.

"September 21, 1994": Incomplete. Several songs missing.

"October 13, 1994": Upper level. Zoomed head-to-toe shots.

"October 19, 1994": Complete. (The pro film crew is seen around filming the second half, to use on Pulse if needed.) Upper level view. Sound is low because it's filmed from the upper level.

"1995 Empire State Building": News footage and setting up of Laser hoopla on E.S.Building for "PULSE" release, "Dark Side" UK Interview Special circa'92, and '87 News footage.

"Pink Floyd: Behind The Wall (2000)" : A documentary about the making of The Wall album, to promote the live Wall release. This DVD also has Gilmour live 2-6-86 at the earthquake charity concert, the 1968 color BBC "Set The Controls", and the "Dogs" clip from the "WKRP" comedy show.

"Pink Floyd Biography Special" 2008 (from the Biography channel), and the 12 minutes of 1972 footage of Floyd playing for the ballet performances in France.

**** ROGER WATERS DVD's BOOTLEGS: HAND-HELD and TV FOOTAGE****

“Roger Waters Interview 1984” Jim Ladd's show called “Innerview”: A long interview of Roger in early 1984 about Pros And Cons, Pink Floyd, The Final Cut, and world politics.

"Waters and Clapton: July 29, 1984" : Live audience video of this Waters concert with Clapton on lead guitar. View of the whole stage from right of center, mid-level. Includes the 3 large film screens behind the band.

"Waters /Clapton: July 31, 1984" : Live audience video of this Waters concert with Clapton on lead guitar. View of the whole stage from mid-level. I have only found 2 Waters concert videos from 1984 which includes the 3 large film screens behind the band. (The screens were NOT used for the 1985 concerts because it was too expensive and ticket sales stunk).

"Waters /Clapton July 29 and 31, 1984 Compilation" : This is a 2 DVD set of the best clips from both concerts compiled to give the best of both recordings in one complete concert experience.

"Waters: July 21, 1985": Live Pros and Cons concert in Buffalo, New York. Set 1 is Pink Floyd songs, and set 2 is the Pros and Cons set. (It cuts off during the last Pros And Cons song called "The Moment Of Clarity").

"Waters: 1987 Press Performance": Instead of a typical press interview, Rog and the band played songs live for a small crowd of press people, and it was recorded by shoulder-mounted TV cameras for TV news shows.

"Waters: Live September 2, 1987": Very good recording from the upper right of the audience. Graphics and KAOS-related pictures are added to enhance the concert experience (especially since Roger's video screen can't be seen from this angle)! Footage from Aug 26 and Sept 7 is added to fill missing spots.

"Waters: Live September 5, 1987": Zoomed footage looks close. This concert is missing the encores. The encore songs from the Sept. 7 show are added for a complete set list.

"Waters' Amused To Death And Radio KAOS videos". Copied from Japanese laserdiscs, this DVD includes the "Amused to Death" Waters interview with JLadd, both versions of the "What God Wants" videos, and the "Radio KAOS" promo videos.

"May 15, 2002" Waters live in Rotterdam, Holland. Great footage!

"May 24, 2002" Waters: Second half of the show ONLY. Great clear zooms, but most of the background images are not shown. It focuses mostly on the band members.

"Roger Waters : June 7 and June 12, 2002 Compilation". Great combination of the Warsaw (incomplete) and Rome (complete) audience videos. Most of this is Rome, with Warsaw footage added in the shaky places of the other.

"Roger Waters : June 12, 2002". This is the Rome bootleg used in the above compilation. It often zooms close on the band and misses films and other effects.

"Roger Waters at Glastonbury 2002 + others" : Waters performed 30 minutes with full band and films at the festival (filmed for TV). This DVD also the rare 1971 German TV footage and interviews about "Atom Heart Mother". Also included are some Waters and Gilmour solo clips.
