MEETING:
JUNE 9, 2012 - JIM HALL DEMO ON WOODTURNING AND CARVING - BRING A PROJECT AND TOOLS FOR CARVING TIME


MEETING LOCATION:
WOODSHOP, FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL, 5405 SE WOODWARD ST (brick building near SE 52nd with 2 garage doors),
PORTLAND, OR

TIME: 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.


Western Woodcarvers Association was founded in 1973 by first President Harvey "Mack" Sutter. Since January 2003 the club now meets every second Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. unless noted differently.

The meeting agenda consists of:
      Announcements by the President and Committee Leaders
      Give away drawing for donated wood
      Show and Tell of carvings by members
      Presentation by a Guest Speaker on a carving subject
      Hands 0n Carving and knowledge sharing (bring tools and project)

The club has a lending library of books, magazines, and video tapes.  A newsletter is mailed every other month to all paid members with future events, carving patterns, and information of interest to all members.  Election of officers is conducted each June.
