Less than an hours drive away is Mt. Hood which
is Oregons highest mountain peak, and abounds in
year round recreational activities. From downhill and cross-country skiing to camping,
bicycling and summertime alpine sliding. Mt. Hood is home to Timberline Lodge,
featured in "The Shining", and has the longest ski season in North America.
