Salli has appeared in numerous movies, and has had various television appearances. Including Stargate SG1, Deep Space Nine and The Pretender, to name a few. Along with acting Salli has sung a song, titled If I Knew You At All, from the Motion Picture Soundtrack of the movie Posse. In which she starred along side, Mario Van Peebles, Stephen Baldwin and Blair Underwood.

Salli co-starred (voiced) with Keith David, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis and many more in the hit television series, Gargoyles. In which she was the voice and drawing for Detective Elisa Maza. She was in all 78 episodes.

In the Pretender episode, Gigilo Jarod, Salli played Cynthia Sloan, a heartless Real Estate agent in which Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) helps her realise not to destroy the home, which she herself had grown up in. He helps her uncover the truth in the 'accident' in which a young boy died. By the end of the episode Salli's character, Cynthia is a changed woman, with the continuing help of a young girl and her mother.

Salli has written numerous articles about health and fitness, for a magazine.
