Palaisdaan (Fishpond) Part 5
(Kuwentong Cowboy 1)

... After lunch, we lay on the papag of the hut to rest our stomachs and our tired bodies. They are, however, more tired than I am. After a little nap, I feel like catching more fish, but changed my mind when my dad says, "Son did you go to the sari-sari store like I told you to?

"Yes, dad", I said.

"Okey!", says he, "… bring out the BILOG (small round Ginebra San Miguel bottle) that you bought. Also the bottle of coca-cola too." (Sorry… no ice.)

By the way, I was 18 yrs old …and old enough to drink alcoholic drinks in those days... including the Marka Demonyo. (Ginebra San Miguel bottles have the label showing the Archangel standing on and over atop the fallen devil Lucifer- thus "Mark of the Devil" or "Marka Demonyo")

I also produce 3 "glass" drinking glasses from the cup board and the 3 of us prepare to drink the aforementioned "gin and coke". After a few "tagays" or shots, I get up and catch 5 more tilapia for my Uncle Ambring to b-b-q as our pulutan or "drinking" snacks.

After a while more, we are feeling good (tipsy)...say "to heck with it" with the rest of the work, call it a day, and head home around 4pm...

(Drunken talk) Iyet has bieeennnn a goooooooood dayyyyyy in Trossssso. Hah!!!!!
