SUPERCITIES WALK FOR MS - 2006

Despite the pouring rain, Team Baby Steps started out bright and early for our walk. The rain and the cold made for slow going, but the kids were happy to splash in the puddles. We made it back to the school and were getting ready to celebrate with the hundreds of other walkers, but we had an emergency.

Our newest team member, Karen, is allergic to latex and the gym was filled with balloons. A very short exposure just to the air in the room was enough that she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance while the rest of us quickly fed the kids and sorted things out. Karen was fine a few hours later and went home to rest. She may have been a little better if the paramedics hadn't used an oxygen mask with latex straps….anyway, she's laughing about it now and is just glad we all managed to meet our fundraising goals.

The whole team would like to thank all our sponsors who helped us raise over $1,600 for the MS Society. Way to go team!
