Casa Grande Information Board

Casa Grande Ruins, an archeological preserve, protects the Casa Grande and other archeological sites within its boundaries. You can see the Casa Grande and hear the story of the ancient ones the Akimel O'otham call the Hohokam, "those who are gone."

Casa Grande Visitor Center

The Casa Grande Visitors Center is loaded with art, and artifact displays and serves as the entrance to the actual ruins. Across the street there is a large area with picnic tables where you can enjoy a picnic as well as the surroundings.

Tombstone "Taxi"

There is a slew of history in this small town, Tombstone. From Boot Hill Cemetery on the edge of town, where you will see the grave-sites and witty grave-markers, to the Gun Fights at the OK Corral, and the Stagecoach Tours around the town. Lots of restaurants and saloons, such as Big Nose Kate's Saloon,for the tourists.

This beautiful canyon is located between Globe, AZ and Show Low, AZ travelling on U.S. 60.

Please excuse the extraneous car parts - there were no places to pull off in this area. You can see the highway far ahead wending it's way around the terrain in the right-center of the picture. Looks kind of treacherous, eh?
