Well, winter is fast approaching and along with the rapid weather change things have been changing around here! We have decided to get silkie chickens and they will be arriving in the spring. This has prompted a name change: Hanson Hiltop Acres! (I figured the chickens would get jealous if it was left "rabbitry") Anyway, along with all this I have had to make some tough decisions about the number of rabbits I have. I have decided to cut back on the Mini Rex and raise primarily Himalayans. I will still have some chocolate Mini Rex, but will breed mainly Black Himis. Some of the rabbit barn has been converted into a chicken coop or sorts and they have an attached run outside. I will be taking pictures before the snow flies and the chickens will have thier own section of the page sometime this winter!
