Baseball City Stadium 300 Stadium Way Davenport, FL 33837 The 2002 spring training season marks the 15th year for the Kansas City Royals spring training headquarters at Baseball City, Florida. The Royals lease at the complex runs through the 2002 spring training camp. The Royals play at the 8,000-seat Baseball City Stadium, which opened in the spring of 1988. The baseball complex includes 5 additional full-sized fields adjacent to Baseball City Stadium. In addition, there are special major league and minor league hitting and pitching tunnels as well as office and clubhouse facilities to be used by the Royals' minor league clubs for spring training. The Royals six minor league affiliates will generally utilize the four-field cloverleaf facility beginning in March through early April for workouts and games. The daily minor league on-field schedule runs approximately from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for workouts. Stadium is located at I-4 Exit #23, US Hwy. 27. Paid parking at the ballpark. Ballpark built in 1987. Dimensions: 330' down the foul lines and 410' to center. Seating Capacity: 7,000.
