Biography:

Stacey has worked for Natural Insect Control for the past 9 years as an entomologist specializing in biological control in greenhouses.  She has worked closely with Niagara Park’s Butterfly Conservatory in developing new methods for biological control.

 

Stacey has spoken for many horticultural organizations on the use of beneficial insects and natural products in your backyard.  She has spoken at Landscape Ontario’s 2004 Congress on “Interior IPM: Using Beneficial Insects Achieves a Natural Balance”, the City of Thorold’s “Go Natural: Take Care of Lawn Pests without Pesticides” and Niagara Region’s 2005 campaign “Grasscycling: Working Hand in Hand with Nature” as well as their 2006, 2007 & 2008 campaigns for Smart Gardening.  She has also taught a natural lawn care seminar for Niagara College.   Stacey has been a speaker and volunteer for Niagara Healthy Environment Initiative and Climate Action Now, working towards banning the use of cosmetic pesticides on residential properties.
