Bait Recipe's
Cinnamon Doughball
- Pour in a measuring cup, then in a bowl, 1 cup
corn meal, plus 1 cup white flour, 2 teaspoons sugar, and 2 teaspoons
cinnamon. Mix together.
- On high heat, bring 1 1/4 cups of water to a boil
in a heavy medium-sized saucepan. Add mixed ingredients to the boiling
water and stir until all the water is absorbed.
- To finish, pour the mix onto wax paper. Roll into
2 baseball sized balls. If too hard, add a little more water. If
too soft, add more corn meal. The dough must be able to stick readily
to the hook.

Topwater Carp
- Fill a zipplock
bag with 30 dry chunky-style dog food nuggets the night before the
trip. Add 3 teaspoons of water and some attractant. Strawberry Koolaid
works fine. Blow the bag full of air, then seal it. Give it a good
shake. By morning, the bait will be soft and be able to stick readily
to the hook, above water.
