We have 2,800 acres of the best deer population that exists in the state.  130 to 150 class heavy 200 pound plus bucks that will take your breath.  Our land has been managed Texas style. Our food plots consist of wheat, oats, rye, biologic clover, planted corn, peanut and soybean fields, shelled corn and mineral blocks on the ground.

I have personally paid, stayed and  hunted at Bastic Plantation, Beam & Sons and Blackwater lodges in South Carolina. During these weeks at the other plantations, I have seen ways that the guests all had unsatisfactory hunts.  Here at Edisto River Lodge, we make sure your hunt, lodge condition, and over all stay will forever be a pleasant and positive memory.  One that you will look forward to on your next visit.

We take one to eight hunters

The rules are simple:

6 point bucks or better

Does over 75 lbs

All cow horns- Not Spikes

2 deer per day-- 1 buck one doe

Yes, we are over populated with does.  You could harvest two does (one in the morning, one in the evening) if you didn't have the opportunity to get the buck.

Some people have obtained a nice buck and a bigger buck showed up- They chose to take another buck. They knew the fine and chose to pay extra.
