Red Bull - solid doors
Location: Red Bull HQ in Brisbane.
Model: 1995 Landrover Discovery.
Shell: Bushrangie.
Colour: Originally was glitter red. Was then resprayed blue and off-white.
Engine: Diesel (we reckon the 300tdi)
Gearbox: R380 manul or ZF Auto. Unknown.
Tyres: 33" BFG T/A Trail.
Mods: Full sized working doors, snorkel, distinctive Red Bull promotional can on roof.
Conversion: Originally modified: John E. Davis Motorworks.
Notes: Was Metalic red. Was going to be in the movie Mission Impossible 2.
24/Jan/2004. This Bushrangie is Red Bull's touring vehicle and has
travelled Australia but is currently based in Brisbane. It has most
recently been used for an event in far Nth Queensland called
"The Crocodile Trophy" which is the world's longest and hardest bike
adventure, an event which Red Bull sponsored. It also made an appearance
late last year at the B&S (Bachelor & Spinsters) Ball at Goondawindi.....
....much to the delight of our male consumers! The vehicle has been
modified for both promotional and sampling purposes. It is driven by the
companies Mobile Energy teams and features an esky in the back to keep
cans of their product ice cold.
November 2005: Bushie was rolled, taken to Sydney for repair, sold to Rhinobuggies in Qld, and rebuilt.
