Rose was born and raised Southwest of Ontario Canada. She is the sixth one born of eight siblings. She always been a petit woman, no more then hundred pounds. She is strong in personality and have lots of love. She always manage no matter what circomstances where or what fate have dealt her. Pass two years Two Uncles, Cousin, Grandmother, and Mother passed away.

In side the two years she was dealt with another blow in her life. She found out before Christmas of the year 2003 she had cancer. Small cell lung cancer stage four. After a the shock of fear. She put her mind to it that she is going to beat, I have too much to live for.

After Christmas she started the chemo. Scary thought with all the side effects. Many of us read up on the cancer itself and the chemo in the process of helping her through. Her common-law Jeff was the biggest help. He made sure that she did all that she needed to do if she was going to fight the terrible desease. Soon after a few treatments she began to feel better.

There are times that she feels exhausted, tired and run down. Even waiting for a test and the results can be frustating. She finds that going through the chemo, the waiting, frustrations worth it.

She knows of one man that he too went through treatment such as chemo. He has completed his seventh cycle. He had the choice of staying at the seventh cycle or continue on with the treatment. He decided to go on. Rose have made the same decision. Both feeling that they rather finish and be sure it is all gone.

Her emotions been up and down. Sometimes she felt scared, other times she was not. She feels it is the support of her family and kids that kept her going. The very words "you can do it". The emotional support have kept her feelings high.

Health wise she have notice an amazing difference in her life. She is happy of the weight she gain. She have felt her stomach up set, but she have never vomit. The meds prescribed to her have helped. There were times that it seemed frustrated. She kept up what she had to do.

She realizes that her supports at times have felt the fear such as her caregiver, family, friends and co-workers. She heard the sincere words of how proud they are of her and the kind of strengths she has.

She finds that her common-law has been great. He had did a great job in his support.

I have asked if there was a message to go out to people she said, "I am a prime example of chemo" meaning that it works.

Folks I would like to add that no matter keep trying, keep going. Do all that you can to the best of your ability. Do not do this alone, let someone help you. Listen to your doctor(s). Cancer is not a thing to take likely, if you do all that you need to do you can beat the odds. I know, Rose in this story is my sister. I have witness the turn of someone that does all a person can do. Hope is not sitting back waiting for the ultimate maricle, the maricle comes when we do what we need to do. Leave the rest to God and he will take care of the rest.

God Bless her and everyone that been inflicted with this horrible desease. May God heal those that are sick bless everyone with good health.
