Personal Assistant

“If you think I’m gonna eat at this place, my dear, you’re wrong.”

She stared at him. “Excuse me?”

Fluffing his hair lazily with slender fingers, he sighed. “Honey, people like ME don’t eat at places like… This.” His lip curled slightly as he glanced absentmindedly around the cheap yet substantial restaurant.

“Let’s get something straight, Mr. Aiken. I will NOT treat you like you’re better than everyone else.” She retorted fierily.

His green eyes widened. “And why, might I ask, is that?”

She smirked, leaning in closely and meeting his intense gaze head on. “Because you’re not.”

He stood abruptly, knocking his chair over in the process.

“Man... If looks could kill, I’d be dead.” She muttered to herself, becoming a bit uneasy. Her job was at stake here. What if he demanded that she were fired?

“Look, Mr. Aiken… Uh…”

But he was already out the door.
