| It's been 3 days since
Electromania 3. Since Sunday the face of the CWF has
changed. There is now a Unified World Champion. The
wrestling community is still buzzing about the monumental
match that is forever going to be etched in wrestling
history. The three men involved have now, without a
doubt, secured their positions in the minds of the world.
Each accomplished something that night at E3. Brandon
Sinclair became the first ever Unified Champion. Diablo
showed that even massive blood loss doen't mean you can
count him out. Shane proved that there are few limits to
what he can do in a ring. Though Brandon goes down, on
paper, as the winner, all three competitors won in the
eyes of the industry. With the unification of the two world titles it leaves a question for Shane. What now? His title, the ICWA Title, is gone. He was the longest, and last, reigning ICWA World Champion. That gives him some pleasure. Along with his pleasure comes pain. Pain in the fact that the last piece of the ICWA is now gone. What now? To Shane his career appears stalled. To everyone else Shane has never been hotter. E3 elevated Brandon, Diablo and Shane to new heights of stardom. They, almost, seem beyond Main Event status, if that's at all possible. What now? With the DMW Cup Tournament starting Shane has the chance to accomplish something important. This will be his first DMW Cup, winning it could mean a lot. His opening opponent is The Smack Daddy, the man that brought Shane into the folds of the CWF. Smack is a name that runs through the roots of the CWF's past. He's done much in his illustrious career and has had some of the greatest matches to date. What now? Beating Smack would quickly refocus Shane. Without that ICWA belt Shane is lost. This match could show him that he doesn't need the ICWA to continue on in the CWF. Maybe the question he should be asking himself is..... What next? Of course what do I know, I'm just the narrator. Since E3 Shane has been doing an almost endless ammount of interviews. At first they were interesting. But by about Tuesdy afternoon they started loosing their appeal. Now it's just the same handfull of questions over and over. Shane's starting to get a little fed up with the interview circuit, but he still has several more to do before he can take a break for the night. Shane stands in a television studio. The massive concrete room is filled with television cameras, set pieces, studio workers and lights. The roof of the studio is covered with many steel bars, collectively called a grid. From the grid hang all the studio lights. Each light is precisely aimed to a position on the set. The set, incidentally, is for 20/20. Barbra Walters is scheduled to interview Shane about his involvement in the CWF, his past, his family, E3, and the whole 'does wrestling causes violent behaviour in children' thing. In front of the set sit 4 different cameras. Each holds a purpose. Between two of the cameras stands the Floor Director. He's giving last minute instructions to the camera operators before the show starts. He quickly finishes up with the camera men then heads over to talk to Shane. Shane already knows what's expected of him, that was all worked out in the run through, earlier. After several last minute instructions Shane takes his place on the set and prepares for the interview. As Shane sits down he carefully moves his left foot around under the desk, he's searching for a little package he snuck in. As his foot nudges the package a smile crosses his face. Seconds later Barbra Walters takes her place on the set. She greets Shane, then prepares for her show to begin. The signal is given and the show begins. Barbra talks about the content of the show then sets up the interview with Shane. Barbra: Now, as a special treat I have with me in the studio, CWF personality Shane Jackson. She turns to face Shane. A smile moves across Shane's face. He's not smiling at Barbra, he's smiling for what he has in store. She's about to loose control of this interview. Barbra: Hello Shane. If you don't mind I'd like to begin by asking you what about Electromania. What is it? Shane: Barbra, I do mind. Why? Because I'm sick of you. You like to think you're the greatest interviewer on the planet. You go on about how you talked to Osama Bin Laden and Monica Lewinskie, how you've eaten dinner with Gorbachev and Fidel Castro. Big deal, I don't really care. I bet most of the wrestling fans and sports enthusiasts don't care either. I'm doing them a favor by cutting you off. Barbra: I've never met anyone as rude as you. Not even Boris Yeltsin, in his Vodka induced stupor, is as rude as..... Shane: Barbra.......Shut it! Why don't you go make out with Hugh Downs or something, just leave me alone. Barbra gets out of her seat and storms off the set. Shane: Now that she's gone I can get to what I want to talk about. The Smack Daddy, or Smack, as he's better known. Now I know he's a legend. I know he's seen it all and done it all. He's still as good as he ever was. To help commemorate the icon, that is, Steven Smack Daddy, I've gone out and gotten a sponsor to help spread the word of this great man. I present to you..... Shane reaches down under the desk and pulls up the package he had placed there earlier. He pulls the wrapping off and holds up what was inside for the camera to see. It's a poster.
Shane: ...the new wave of family dinner. Now I certainely hope Steven appreciates this. I had to pull a lot of stings with the guys up at Kraft to get them to endorse this product. They wanted to use Kiersten Dunst, but I convinced them that ol' Smacker here was a better choice. Shane smiles at the camera. Shane: I know that on Monday children everywhere are going to be glued to their TV sets. They are going to be waiting for their microwaveable hero to step out on that runway. As they shovel their "Smack and Cheese" into their mouths their going to be cheering. It's probably going to break their hearts seeing Smack loose, but rest assured they won't forget him. After all he's now one of America's favorite foods. The Cleveland Express will see you Monday, Smack. Shane continues smiling at the camera as the lights on the 20/20 set are slowly brought down to black. |
"Natural Wonder" Shane Jackson thanks you for your patronage to this RP. If you're wondering what this yellow background is it's macaroni and cheese, I though it fit the RP rather well.
