Scene opens to a hospital emergency room. Nurses move around at a quick pace as they attend to the injured people that are entering. At the moment things are slow for them. They haven't had to deal with many ambulance cases. For some reason it seems that the Lord is smiling on the staff of this hospital today. With not 'emergency' cases to deal with that means that the people in the waiting room are being seen much quicker.

"Natural Wonder" Shane Jackson's case is already being handled. He sits in one ofthe curtain areas. He's still dressed in his wrestling attire. Since he only needs his wounds checked and cleaned there was no need for him to change into a hospital gown, he won't be staying the night.

Shane sits on a hospital bed, his feet hanging over the side. He holds a sterile cotton pad to his head. It wouldn't take a genius to figure why he's here. Just looking at him can tell the story. Cuts adorn his body, most of them superficial, they'll heal leaving no trace of their existence. On his head though he has recieved a deep gash. The sterile pad he holds to his head is completely soaked through with blood.

Shane: So you won Jason. Let me be the first to congratulate you.

Shane pulls the cotton pad away from his forehead for a second. As he does a single stream of blood escapes the cut. It quickly runs down his face, following the inner curve of his eye socket. Shane puts the blood soaked pad back over the cut.

Shane: I'm sure you know that this isn't over though. One match means very little in our buisness. You won our first encounter, so what? Big deal. We knew going into this match that it was either going to be you or me that won. The Rock had served his time as European Champion, his run was over.

In the lobby a child can be heard screaming. Shane ignores the cries.

Shane: I noticed you took a liking to my car. My 1962 Dodge Charger. Sad thing is, J, I know you don't appreciate it. You like it because it looks nice. You don't appreciate the work that was put into it. You don't care about the time spent restoring it. You know what movie made that care famous? Do you? It was Bullit with Steve McQueen. It was involved with, probably, one of the greatest car chase scenes in movie history. You went joy riding in it, didn't you Jason? Did you enjoy it? Did you have fun speeding through the streets of Texas in my custom car? I hope so because chances are you're never going to get the opportunity again.

The line of blood reaches Shane's chin. With his free hand he wipes the blood off his chin before it can drip to the floor.

Shane: Ignorance seems to be an important part of your personality, Jason. I'm sure I'm not the only person to point this out to you. I'm sure you know the saying Ignorance is Bliss. Is it? Is it bliss, Jason? Have you really found enjoyment in turning a blind eye to things? I, for one, don't think so. By looking away from things you miss the reason they happen. It's like a car accident. When you drive by you always look. You want to see what happened, you want to see the outcome. You see the outcome and immediately your mind starts creating scenarios. It creates scenarios to understand how that car accident ended the way it did. By ignoring the car accident your pretending it didn't happen and off you go on your narrow little vision of life.

A nurse pulls the curtain, around Shane's bed, back a little. She steps into the area. In he hand she holds a tray with various medical items on it. She sets the tray on a near by table. She takes the bloody cotton pad from Shane's hand and tosses it in the garbage. After taking a quick look at the wound she decides what to do.

Shane: See things for what they are and maybe one day your world won't come crashing down around your ankles.

Instead of opting to stitch it closed the nurse believes that the wound isn't as bad as it looks. Instead she cleans the wound with some rubbing alcohol and applies heavy duty bandage to Shane's forehead.

Shane: Am I saying I'll be the one to bring you down Jason? No, I doubt it'll be me. I'm just going to give you a push and let someone further along the line crumble you.

Using several papertowels the nurse wipes Shane's face clean.

Shane: Saturday may not be a fight for your European Title or even my TV Title, but it's still going to be a fight. I lost to you once Jason, I'm prepared to make the record 1-1.

After the nurse finishes cleaning Shane's face she tosses that paper towel in the garbage. She picks up her medical tray and leaves the curtain area without sayin anything to Shane. After sitting for a few more minutes Shane figures the hospital has done all it's going to do with him. He hops off the bed and strolls out of the curtain area, through the lobby and right out to the street. He hails a cab. The last shot is of Shane getting into the cab.
