Carbon Monoxide ! Just the sound of it makes people shutter.
Carbon Monoxide is a clear, colorless and odorless gas that has quickly earned the name "The Silent Killer"
Carbon Monoxide is produced by the incomplete combustion of hydrocarbon fuels. In the workplace, CO can be produced by equipment that is not properly maintained such as lift trucks, heaters, manifolds, tractors, personnel lifting devices and more.
This program covers the properties of Carbon Monoxide and how it may be produced, exposure limits, and the various side effects suffered by people who have been exposed to hazardous amounts of Carbon Monoxide. In addition, emergency response procedures and possible first aid measures are covered.
This program may be conducted seperately as a shorter 1 our program, or combined with the Propane Handling or Butane Program which would run approximately 2.5 hours.
