Slowly, to Your Feet

Slowly, to your feet. Spinning head will fade.
Slowly, to your feet. And come what may.

Every time you looked about, temptation knocked you 'round
And every time that you were lost, you somehow still got found
Now you're here, not 'cause you're perfect, but because you know
That you will walk much straighter if you've got a path to follow

Slowly, to your feet. Balance be regained.
Slowly, to your feet. Do not be ashamed.

Every time you look around now, temptation will be there
But so will all of those who love you and the power of our prayers
So take a careful look around now, at all those standing by
Remember we're not the only ones who will come when you cry

The people who love you are nothing compared to the one who hears our prayers

His love shields you while ours only hopes
He gives you light while we all still grope
In the dark for a way to help

Slowly, to your feet. And come what may.
