Upon the earth so long ago…
An angel came to say…
That on this earth a baby shall be born…
Who will bring peace and forgiveness to all…
A most precious gift from the Lord above…
A star appeared in the sky one night…
They traveled long and hard…
Just to catch a glimpse of him…
To bring gifts for the child who would be King...
Shepherds watching their sheep...
Were truely amazed by the wonderous sight...
Of an angel coming forth to tell them…
To follow the star, which would take them…
To the town of Bethlehem...
There a child has been born…
A child who is a King…
A man, a woman and a donkey…
Traveled a long and weary road...
It is late and cold on this winter's eve…
No room at the inn is found for them…
Heavy with child and oh so tried…
A stable becomes their shelter for the night…
A special child is born to us this eve…
In a manger he lays sleeping…
Kings and shepherds gather round…
To see and honour this special birth…
Of the child who will be king…
As angels sing on high…
Rejoicing at his birth…
The Shepherds bow their heads…
In wonder at his birth…
Three Kings bestow their gifts upon him…
Honouring the birth of the new born King…
So on this oh so special day…
Rejoice in it's true meaning…
For onto us a child is born…
Christ our new born King…
To come to us and die for us…
To save us all from sin…
