Westminster is the renowned Dog Show which takes place every year from Madison Square Gardens in New York.  Westminster's  prestigious 'Best in Show' has been around for nearly 100 years. Westminster itself has been around for 125 years. The Afghan Hound has won the top prize twice in the 'Best in Show' history, 1957 and 1983. In fact, only one other breed from the Hound Group has ever won 'Best in Show.' The Whippet, won in 1964, joins the Afghan Hound who both went on to win Westminster's coveted 'Best in Show.'
